Congratulations to 27 new Hunter Safety graduates, and also to this young man who won today’s raffle. It was a great class, and the future is bright for hunting. We will offer more classes in the spring.

🎯 Lincoln County Sports Club 22LR Precision Shoot 8/29/26🎯

Despite the rain, we still had 11 dedicated shooters come out and compete in the Lincoln County Sports Club .22 Precision Shoot!
A little rain wasn’t enough to keep everyone off the firing line. 💪🔫
Thank you to everyone who came out, braved the weather, and made it a great shoot! We appreciate the support and look forward to seeing everyone — and hopefully a few new faces — at the next one!
Rain or shine, we’ll see you on the firing line! 🇺🇸

August Newsletter Highlights

From the President

Summer is ending fast and you know what that means: Hunting Season is almost here!
This month I would like to say Thank You to all of our Club Volunteers that worked at the LCSC Open House on August 1st. We had a nice sunny day and lots of folks came out to support the Club financially. I really enjoyed seeing the families that came out with their kids to participate in the Teddy Bear hunt, Archery shoot, Pellet Gun shoot and Fishing game. Congratulations to all of the lucky winners!
For the Adults many tried shooting really cool guns on the range as well as talk with our RSO’s about our Special Shoot Programs.
Huge Thank You to all of our Local Sponsors that donated money or prizes. Please support them as they help LCSC help our communities with all of the Free programs we offer. A list of those Sponsors can be found in the Clubhouse as well as in the RSO building at the range.

LCSC again is sponsoring the third Hunter Education Class this year. Sign up is on the WI DNR website Gowild.wi.gov. Class will be held on Monday and Tuesday August 24,25 from 6pm to 9pm and the field day is Saturday August 29th from 8am to 3pm. If you are interested in the last class of 2026 sign up quickly as the class fills up fast. Step by step registration can be found on our website at: lcscsportsclub.com

Thank you, Joe Malsack for donating and setting up two new microphones for the Clubhouse audio system. We appreciate your help.
We have completed our second class for the Special Needs Learn to Shoot/Hunt Program this summer. The kids did a great job learning the safety rules and skills shooting rifles, shotgun, archery and crossbow. It is an awesome joy to watch these kids grow each and every week. Thank you to: Bill Ruder, Randy Niewolny, Greg Eichelkraut, Steve Maluegge, and Phil Hill that helped me provide these kids this free program.

Aim well and shoot safe,

Mike Honerlaw

Our students did an excellent job in our Learn to Shoot” held over 6 Tuesdays. Compound bow, crossbow, .22 rimfire and shot gun were the fi****ms covered. Target shooting on a deer cut out and shot placement on a turkey were the final skills honed on our last day. Before that there wasn’t a safe ballon out on the range! Congratulations students on a job well done.
