Backyard Rides Welcome to Backyard Rides! We offer equine therapy & tandem bike rides opening in June 2023! Come join us!

We are a non-profit organization whose main goal is to give back to the community by sharing our passion for animals and helping those in need. Backyard rides started as an idea one day while biking in the Everglades. The scenery was so magnificent that we wanted to share it with those who may be unable to ride alone. From that vision additional ideas started to form, including animal therapy and

equine education. Our mission is to help nurture individuals with physical or mental challenges as well as those in need of emotional healing through a unique experience. Backyard Rides currently has two team members developing the organization; Matt Vangalis and Marjorie Gessler. Together they hope to secure volunteers and additional resources to help support their mission of giving back to the community.
