For anyone just joining us (or who needs a refresher): The Hairston Foundation is a Philadelphia-based nonprofit supporting people living at or below the poverty line — through second chances, senior independence, veteran advocacy, and health equity.
Our motto says it simply: Curant. Inservio. Auxilium. One who treats a patient. To be serviceable. Help, assistance. That’s the whole mission in three words.

We’re back! After some time away, The Hairston Foundation is picking this back up with the same mission, same community, and same commitment to Philadelphia families living at or below the poverty line. Our Foundation’s work never really stopped, but our voice on social media did. Thanks for sticking with us regardless! We promise to post more :)
