📚 We’re hiring an Assistant Director of Library Services!

The Meridian-Lauderdale County Public Library is seeking a full-time Assistant Director to help lead daily operations, support staff, develop our collections, and strengthen connections with the community.

What you’ll do:
• Support staff scheduling, hiring, training, and public service operations
• Lead technical services and collection development projects
• Help manage digital resources, the Atriuum library system, and technology projects
• Build community partnerships and represent the library through outreach
• Serve as director in charge when the Executive Director is away

What we’re looking for:
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and people skills
• A Master of Library Science degree or related degree and library experience preferred
• Three years of post-graduate public library experience preferred
• Supervisory, management, or leadership experience preferred

The Assistant Director will receive training and mentorship in the responsibilities of a Mississippi library director.

🕒 Full-time: 40 hours per week
💰 Starting salary: $50,000–$55,000, based on experience and qualifications
