$1,000 is up for grabs for one Idaho FFA chapter. The Idaho FFA Foundation and Idaho Agriculture in the Classroom are teaming up for the License Plate Challenge.
From October 1 to March 31, Idaho FFA chapters will compete to get the most Idaho Agriculture plates on the road, and the winner will be announced at State Convention.
Every ag plate also sends $25 to Idaho Ag in the Classroom, which helps bring agriculture into classrooms across the state. So when your chapter racks up plates, Idaho students win too.
Not in FFA? You can still be part of it. Get the newly redesigned Idaho Agriculture plate, or renew the one you have, at dmvonline.itd.idaho.gov, and tell a local FFA member so they can enter it for their chapter.
FFA members, talk to your advisor to learn the rules and how to get started!

🌾 Grant Highlight: Iowa Elementary Monthly Mini Farm Days

Kindergarten students at Iowa Elementary spent the year learning where their food comes from. They started out thinking everything came from the store, and by the end they could talk about farms, plants, and agriculture with real confidence.

Students tasted fruits and veggies, made pumpkin cookies and peanut butter oat bites, explored plant parts, and planted sugar beets and zinnias. Each one kept a "From Farm to Me" journal to track what they learned along the way.

"Agritourism: Extreme Farm Makeover" is a free lesson plan on the Curriculum Matrix, for grades 6-8.

Through project-based learning, students will work in groups to design an agritourism experience that will increase profits for a family-owned farm and provide agricultural literacy opportunities for community members.
