DOG FOOD RECALL ALERT
Northwest Naturals has voluntarily recalled two of its raw frozen pet food products due to possible Salmonella contamination.
The recall includes:
• Northwest Naturals Raw Frozen Pet Food – Lamb Recipe, 2 lb. nuggets
• Northwest Naturals Raw Frozen Pet Food – Whitefish & Salmon Recipe, 2 lb. nuggets
If you have one of these products at home, please check the FDA recall information for the affected lot numbers and expiration dates before feeding it to your pet.
If your product is included in the recall:
• Do not feed it to your pet.
• Dispose of it safely so children, pets and wildlife cannot access it.
• Wash and sanitize food bowls, utensils, storage containers and surfaces that may have come in contact with the food.
• Wash your hands thoroughly after handling the product.
• Contact your veterinarian if your pet develops signs of illness.
Salmonella can affect both animals and people who handle contaminated pet food or come in contact with contaminated surfaces.
