Gifted learners are often the first ones finished, with all the right answers and little struggle. 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅 𝒐𝒇 𝑾𝒐𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔 sent them on a 12-day journey as "time travelers," tackling engineering challenges at five ancient wonders — from the Great Wall of China to the Redwood Forest — that pushed them past perfectionism and into real problem-solving.

And the growth went beyond STEAM skills. Travelers had to collaborate in groups, communicate across different cultures and languages and learn to accept help — skills many hadn't needed before.

Scorpions can! Because they don’t see well in the dark, these fascinating arachnids rely on specialized sensory hairs to detect tiny vibrations in the ground and air. It’s like having a built-in motion sensor that works in total darkness.

In Day 3 of Bugs & Slugs, learners become arachnologists to investigate the lightning-fast reflexes that help scorpions survive. Through elastic cord simulations and "Reflex Challenges," learners explore how information processing works in the animal kingdom.

It is a hands-on look at one of nature's most mysterious nighttime hunters.

Who knew a beetle could be a master of Morse code? 🕵️‍♂️

Fireflies are the "Jewels of the Night," but their glow is more than just a pretty light — it’s a sophisticated language. In Day 8 of Bugs & Slugs, we investigate bioluminescence and the specialized "lanterns" these beetles use to communicate with friends and warn off foes.

Learners step into the shoes of a Coleopterist to decode silent signals. Through flashlight "Flash Pattern" challenges and "Firefly Match" games, learners explore how timing, height, and color patterns allow these insects to find each other in a crowded forest. It’s a hands-on dive into the chemistry and coordination behind nature's light show.
