Praise God! What a day in Meridian.

It was standing room only as we celebrated the ribbon-cutting for The Salvation Army’s new Client Choice Food Market. The community showed up in such a big way, and we are just incredibly grateful.

This day carried so much meaning because of the story behind it.

In memory of her mother, Eloise Temple, Ms. Barbara O’Neill made a generous gift to help make this new ministry possible. Eloise was the founder of and , two beloved camps that shaped generations of girls. Because of Ms. Barbara’s gift, that same legacy of generosity is now helping meet a real need right here in Meridian.

Our new Client Choice Food Market will allow individuals and families facing hardship not only to receive food, but to choose the items that best fit their household, dietary needs, and cultural food traditions. That dignity matters. That choice matters. And we are grateful for this opportunity to offer it.

Having Ms. Barbara there, along with her family and friends whose lives were touched through Eloise’s camps, made the day even more special. It truly felt like a full-circle moment.

We are so grateful for every person who came, every person who gave, and for the opportunity to share the love of God and the hope found in Christ with our community when they need it most.

Thank you, Meridian, for showing up the way you did today. It meant more than we can say. Together, we will continue .

We are incredibly grateful for the amazing transformation taking place here at The Salvation Army through the renovation of our chapel and Choice Market! From expanding and improving our worship space to helping create a more welcoming and dignified environment for the families we serve each week, the work has truly been a blessing to our ministry and community.

A special thank you to Heritage Construction for the outstanding work they continue to do. Their team has helped renovate our chapel and market space with excellence, professionalism, and care. Last year, they also completely cleaned up our property, including tree removal and landscaping work that made a tremendous difference to our campus.

What we appreciate most is not only the quality of their work, but also their honesty, fair pricing, and willingness to serve the community well. If you are looking for someone for construction, renovations, remodeling, landscaping, cleanup, or property improvement needs, we highly recommend them.

We want to express our sincere gratitude to the NTTC of Meridian for coming alongside us and helping assemble our new church chairs and prepare our newly renovated chapel. Your servant hearts, hard work, and willingness to help have truly been a blessing to our corps family.

It is beautiful to see community working together with unity, generosity, and joy. Because of your support, this space is becoming more and more ready to welcome people into worship, fellowship, discipleship, and life-changing encounters with Jesus.

Thank you for investing your time, energy, and kindness into this ministry. We appreciate you all more than words can express!
