Disposing of an RV trailer is not a complicated process in Idaho:
1: show some kind of ownership. This can be a title, registration (even if it’s expired, just show ownership) a letter from law enforcement or property owner.
2. If it can be towed, that’s awesome. If not, you can hire a flatbed, rent or borrow a trailer to load it on for transport to the landfill (not the transfer station)
3. Remove the refrigerator (if it’s a propane fridge you don’t need to) A/C unit, propane tanks and batteries. These get disposed of separately.
4. take it to the landfill and do the ordinary landfill thing, they’ll tell you what to do if you’ve never dumped at a landfill. Make sure to take a jack and lug wrench because you’ll remove the wheels at the landfill and dispose of them in a different part of the landfill along with the refrigerator, A/C and batteries.
5. Pay at the scale house on the way out. It’s not as expensive as you think it’s going to be. Plan for as much as $200 but don’t be surprised when it’s under $100!
MOTORHOME DISPOSAL IS DIFFERENT, THERE WILL BE A POST FOR THISE ANOTHER TIME.
