🌟 Board of Trustees Spotlight 🌟
This week, we’re proud to introduce Lisa Shively, a valued member of the Leadership Idaho Agriculture Board of Trustees.
Lisa is a third-generation farmer and longtime leader who has dedicated her career to advancing Idaho agriculture, education, and leadership development. Raised in Idaho’s Treasure Valley, Lisa graduated from Meridian High School, where she was actively involved in FFA before marrying her husband, Rob, and making her home in the Mud Lake/Terreton area of eastern Idaho.
Together, Rob and Lisa own and operate Shively Custom Farming, LLC, managing a diverse farming operation that includes hay, grain, silage, and custom farming services across eastern Idaho. In addition to their agricultural enterprises, they also own and operate a local restaurant and motel. Their son, Steve, remains actively involved in the family operation, helping carry forward the family’s multi-generational farming legacy. Lisa and Rob are proud grandparents to the fifth generation of Shivelys.
A graduate of LIA Class 15 in 2000, Lisa has been deeply involved with the organization for more than two decades. She has served on the Board of Trustees and currently contributes as a member of the Program/Curriculum Committee. Since 2003, Lisa has taught the highly regarded “Speaking on Your Feet” session for LIA, helping participants build confidence and effectiveness in public speaking. As LIA’s longest-serving instructor, she recently completed an extraordinary 29 years of service to the program.
Beyond LIA, Lisa served as Executive Director of the Idaho FFA Association, where she played a key role in developing student leaders, coaching state officer teams, and coordinating the annual Idaho FFA State Conference. Her lifelong commitment to agriculture, education, and leadership continues to leave a lasting impact across Idaho.
We are grateful for her leadership, insight, and commitment to the future of Idaho agriculture.
👏 Help us thank Lisa for serving our LIA community!
