CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? ANOTHER SPECIAL DELIVERY FROM TEXAS!

Boise Bully Breed Rescue has welcomed another four precious canine souls from Texas! Every transport takes a village, and here are the incredible people who helped make this one possible.

Aubrey – Bexar County Animal Services
First and foremost, we want to wish Aubrey all the very best as she begins the next chapter of her life! Aubrey was wonderful to work with and truly cared about the dogs she advocated for. She consistently went above and beyond to give as many dogs as possible a chance at safety. We loved working with her and are grateful for her dedication, compassion, and tireless efforts on behalf of these deserving dogs. She will be missed!

Sasha is available for adoption!

Thank you to BBBR Photographer Jada for the beautiful pictures of Sasha. Jada writes, "Meet Sasha! This girl is an absolute sweetheart. She was pretty excited when I went to leash her up in her kennel and was more than ready to pull her way out to the yard. But the second we got outside, she flipped a switch. Sasha settled immediately, she was calm, gentle, and completely focused on getting all the attention she could possibly squeeze out of me.

She took care of business quickly, and then her priorities became very clear. Pet her. Keep petting her. And whatever you do, don't stop petting her. Anytime I paused, Sasha would gently remind me with a little paw tap that I was, in fact, not finished.

For a girl her size, Sasha is remarkably gentle and dainty. She has the biggest doe eyes, the cutest smile, and a serious talent for burying her head into you for a hug. It's hard not to melt when she looks at you like you're the best thing that's ever happened to her.

Sasha is currently undergoing heartworm treatment and has strict activity restrictions, so we weren't able to test out toys or go for walks during our time together. But based on her sweet personality and eagerness to engage with me, I have a feeling she'll be ready to make up for lost time once she's fully recovered.

This girl is also very food motivated and incredibly smart. She already knows some basic commands and is eager to keep learning. More than anything, Sasha just wants to make her people happy, and her willingness to engage and please makes her such a joy to spend time with.

Sasha has such a wonderful demeanor. She's affectionate, gentle, smart, and happiest when she's close to her people. Once she's finished treatment and ready to enjoy more activities, I think she'll have a blast exploring the world with her new family.

If you're looking for a sweet, loving companion who will happily keep you company and gently remind you when you've neglected your petting duties, Sasha might just be your girl. She's ready to give her whole heart to a family of her own, and I have no doubt she's going to make an incredible addition to one very lucky home."

Onyx is available for adoption!

Thank you to BBBR Photographer Jada for the beautiful pictures of Onyx. Jada writes, "Meet Onyx! It isn't possible to fully appreciate just how BIG this boy is until you see him in person. His paws dwarf my entire hand, his eyes sometimes get lost in his wrinkles and his jowls are an endless abyss of slobber.

When I got Onyx from his kennel, he was a little boisterous, so I waited for him to settle before heading in to leash him up. It didn’t take him long to figure out that calm behavior was his ticket out.

Once we got to the yard, Onyx took his time exploring. His nose was glued to the ground, investigating every last smell, while those magnificent jowls swept across the grass like a Hoover on a mission. Any leftover treat crumbs others might have dropped were absolutely not going to escape his inspection.

Onyx is very treat motivated and a smart guy who already knows a couple of basic commands. He was engaged and willing to learn. The squirrels were putting on quite the show in the trees, but instead of chasing after them, Onyx was distracted but chose to just observe the commotion.

Onyx was wonderfully patient while I took his photos. He did great holding a sit or down while I worked, which made my job a whole lot easier. He also enjoyed playing with toys, especially an oversized ball that he galloped and hopped after like a giant puppy. His bursts of energy were pretty short-lived though, and he was ready to take it easy again before long.

More than anything, Onyx loves affection and being close to his people. He is ready for a family of his own and is ready to stake claim of your entire bed and couch!"

SOS! We are low on kibble!

The BIG dogs are chowing down, most need to gain some much-needed weight. We run out of Taste of the Wild - Pacific Salmon most frequently. We find our sensitive dogs or new dogs do really well on this particular food.

Boom is adopted!

A big congratulations to second time BBBR Adopters, the Sartain family, for adopting Boom!! The Sartain's also adopted Kaiser!

Dave writes, "We are happy to add Boom aka Boomer to our pack. Being the young boy he is the first 3 days were a huge adjustment for everyone. Our oldest boy Gunner and him have had to learn to trust each other, but have started to make great strides into becoming a pack of 3. Kizzie our previous BBBR adoption and Boomer have become best of friends. We call them the Ying and Yang of the house. They love to be playing together or sleeping next to each other. We feel with continued training and a whole lot of love and treats Boomer is gonna be the perfect addition to our pack. Thank you to all the BBBR staff, but an extra big thank you to C**t and David for all their help and advice to help us be successful."
