BBBR Alum Thor Update!

Hard to believe this week marks six months since Thor's gotcha-date! Oh boy this guy has completely settled in, and we are just so grateful to have him. We love this sweet, silly guy endlessly.

He is such a goof—whether he is giving us his classic side-eye, sleeping in the weirdest positions, or ignoring us calling his name while somehow hearing the FedEx truck a mile away or the treat bag open from across the other side of the house.

He loves his daily walks, recently venturing to our local greenhouse. We even took him on a summer trip where he was able to take in the scenic views at our family cabin on the South Fork Payette River. At home, his favorite pastime is sunbathing on the patio loveseat while we garden or relax next to him. He has taken a liking to a fun game hide and go seek with treats.
Thor really has made some big strides! He officially is off his daily trazodone and gabapentin (only as needed now), and we no longer need to crate him when we leave the house. He really is thriving!

We would love to hear what training tools we can implement to curb this.

“They will come for you soon Sadie, they will come.”

Sadie is 5 weeks post op from a double CCL (knee) repair to both back legs. Her activity is restricted for a few more weeks, until she heals a bit more.

Depression sets in the same for dogs as it does humans. Lifestyle change during healing combined with needing a home has been a doozy for her. We are really hoping someone comes soon for Sadie.
Her new knees are going to allow her to finally run and play ball, pain free.

DO YOU LOVE DOGS, PEOPLE & A GOOD TIME?

Boise Bully Breed Rescue is seeking a VOLUNTEER EVENTS COORDINATOR!

If you’re someone who:

* Loves dogs
* Enjoys meeting new people
* Has fun wherever you go
* Is organized and dependable
* Wants to help dogs in need

…we may have the perfect volunteer opportunity for you!

SO, WHAT DOES AN EVENTS COORDINATOR DO?

Our amazing sponsors and community partners often want to host events to benefit Boise Bully Breed Rescue. We need someone to be their BBBR go-to person!

You’ll help coordinate and manage the events our sponsors put together—making sure BBBR is represented; our volunteers have what they need; information gets where it needs to go, and everything runs as smoothly as possible.

You’ll also help:

* Build relationships with our wonderful sponsors and community partners
* Help promote upcoming events
* Coordinate BBBR’s involvement at events
* Help organize volunteers when needed
* Make sure we capture and share the fun
* Thank and maintain relationships with the people who support our mission

And the best part?

You get to meet people, attend fun events, represent BBBR, and help turn our community’s generosity into lifesaving support for dogs!

The money raised through these events helps provide medical care, training, food, and other necessities for the dogs in our rescue.
You don't have to be an event planner. You don't have to come up with the events. You just need to be someone who enjoys people, loves dogs, is organized, and wants to help!

Freddy is adopted!

Thank you to Adrianne and family for adopting Freddy. Adrianna writes, "He’s wonderful! He loves playing with the kids inside and in the back yard, basking in the sun and cuddling. He knows his manners and he listens very well. He waits for the signal “go” to eat his food which was unexpected but a pleasant surprise. He loves the kids so so much too. We love having him around. He was truly the perfect fit for our family."

URGENT FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED! 😢

Baby is available for adoption! She's been waiting 9 long months for her people.

Baby has gone to temporary foster a few times with the same family and they ADORE her. Unfortunately they travel for work every few weeks so she has to come back to our facility.

Foster mom Tiffany shared previously--

She’ll happily follow you around like your little shadow, but she’s also perfectly content to curl up in her bed and snooze for hours. When new people arrive, she gets a serious case of the zoomies, but surprisingly, she couldn’t care less about the doorbell or knocking. It’s when guests actually come inside that the party starts!

Baby is highly food motivated and comes running at the sound of anything that resembles a treat bag. 🤣 She’s also working hard on her manners and has made amazing progress with “sit” and “stay” in the short time we’ve had her.

One of our favorite things about Baby is how much she adores teenage boys and men. You’ll know she’s excited because she makes the cutest little snorting noises when greeting them. ❤️

Because of her size and strength, Baby would do best with an active family and older children. So far, she has shown little interest in the squirrels and birds that visit the backyard, preferring to focus on what really matters: people, naps, and snacks.

This sweet girl has so much love to give and is ready to find a family of her very own.

**In Baby's former life she had many litters. We speculate she was only socialized with other dogs for breeding purposes. Baby would do best in a home as the only pet. She deserves all the love and attention. She's paid her dues.
