Dear PiSTEM Families,
Please see below for an important update regarding the upcoming school calendar.
As we get into the last 5 weeks of school, our teachers have requested dedicated time to pack and remove their personal belongings from the school building. The deadline for having personal items removed from the building is May 22nd, and the teachers will be teaching up until the last day of school on May 21st. This request was approved by the Board of Directors on April 14th at their monthly meeting.
As a result, Thursday, May 14th and Friday, May 15th will be non-academic days and no school will be in session. Staff will utilize these days for inventory, classroom packing, and building preparations as we work toward our building closure deadline. The State Charter Commission and charter schools from across the valley will be coming in the following week to collect what they need for their schools. The building will be cleared by May 30.
Students are welcome to check out their chromebooks and work on IDLA, Gradient, and missing assignments during this time off. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility and we look forward to a fun and exciting last week of school with all of our staff and students closing out PiSTEM strong and prepared.
