Our 3rdโ€“5th grade Club Kids at the Meridian Boys & Girls Club are staying active with a creative twist on a favorite game! Using the circle in the center of the gym, members are practicing agility, coordination, quick decision-making, and sportsmanshipโ€”all while having a blast. ๐Ÿ™Œ

Our Meridian Club teens are getting creativeโ€”and learning a new skill along the way! โœจ

With colorful yarn in hand and guidance from staff, teens learned the basics of crochet and practiced different stitches as they worked on their own projects. ๐Ÿงถ

Beyond learning how to crochet, this hands-on activity gave teens a chance to slow down, practice patience, build confidence, and enjoy time together. Sometimes, the best moments at the Club are simply having the space to try something new, be creative, and connect with others. ๐Ÿ’™

Activities like this help our teens develop healthy ways to spend their time while discovering new interests and skills they can carry with them beyond the Club.

Words have power. A kind word can brighten someoneโ€™s day, while hurtful words can stick with someone long after theyโ€™re spoken.

In the Flex Room, Ms. Alexis talked with our Club Kids about choosing kindness, giving genuine compliments, and speaking to others with care. She also reminded them that ๐›๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ข๐ฌ ๐ง๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ ๐จ๐ค๐š๐ฒโ€”and that if someone says or does something hurtful, they should always talk to a trusted adult. ๐Ÿ’™

After their lesson, Club Kids put their words into action by writing compliments on sticky notes and covering the Flex Room wall with positive messages! ๐Ÿ“โœจ

Itโ€™s a simple reminder that kindness mattersโ€”and that every Club Kid deserves to feel safe, supported, and valued at the Club.

Our 3rdโ€“5th grade Club Kids at the ๐Œ๐ž๐ซ๐ข๐๐ข๐š๐ง ๐๐จ๐ฒ๐ฌ & ๐†๐ข๐ซ๐ฅ๐ฌ ๐‚๐ฅ๐ฎ๐› are making some ๐’๐ฆ๐š๐ซ๐ญ ๐Œ๐จ๐ฏ๐ž๐ฌ! ๐Ÿง โœจ

Through this program, members are learning to recognize and understand their emotions while building healthy self-regulation skills they can use both inside and outside the Club.

During their first session, Club Kids created personalized name tags featuring their pictures, interests, and things that describe who they areโ€”a fun way to practice self-expression and celebrate what makes each of them unique! ๐Ÿ’™

As they continue through Smart Moves, theyโ€™ll practice tools like meditation, deep breathing, and positive self-talk to help manage strong emotions and everyday stress in healthy ways.

Mornings at the Meridian Boys & Girls Club are filled with creativity, laughter, and connection!

Through our Before School Care program, Club Kids start their day surrounded by friends and caring staff. From drawing with Expo markers and coloring together to getting competitive over a friendly game of Scrabble, thereโ€™s always something fun happening! ๐ŸŽจ๐Ÿ–๏ธ

These morning moments give kids a welcoming place to be themselves, build friendships, and feel a strong sense of belonging before heading off to school.

Recently, members of our leadership team traveled to Huntington Beach, California, to attend the 2026 Boys & Girls Clubs of America Pacific Leadership Conference. ๐Ÿ’™

During the conference, they heard inspiring keynote speakers, joined thought-provoking, informative breakout sessions, connected with Club professionals across the Pacific Region, and even found time to enjoy the beautiful Southern California coastline! ๐ŸŒŠโ˜€๏ธ

Our Meridian Clubโ€™s 3โ€“5 age group spent the day creating colorful Mecha Chameleon charactersโ€”then turned them into a fun surprise for our staff! Once their creations were complete, our young artists hid them around the Education Center for staff to discover. ๐Ÿ‘€โœจ

What started as a simple art project became a joyful mix of creativity, play, and community connection. ๐Ÿ’™ Our little Club Kids got to share their imagination with the people who support them every day, bringing smiles to staff throughout the building!

Because sometimes the best surprises come from our smallest Club Kids! ๐ŸŒŸ

Members from our Moseley Center had an amazing time this week at a soccer clinic hosted by the Boise Pro Soccer AC Boise team! Our Club Kids got to run through soccer drills, sharpen their skills, get active, and have a whole lot of fun along the way. ๐Ÿ™Œโšฝ๏ธ

Opportunities like this are about more than soccerโ€”they promote ๐ก๐ž๐š๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ฐ๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ-๐›๐ž๐ข๐ง๐  while giving our kids the chance to connect with an organization right here in their community. We are incredibly grateful for the partnership that continues to grow with AC Boise!

Today, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Ada County pauses to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the heroes who ran toward danger to protect, serve, and save others.

We remember the families who lost loved ones, the first responders and everyday heroes who showed extraordinary courage, and the countless acts of kindness and unity that followed.

May we never forget the lives lost, the sacrifices made, and the strength of a nation that came together in a time of unimaginable tragedy.
