Do you know what day it is ?
It’s Thankful Thursday. Today we were blessed with some great volunteers and donors ❤️ Ms Demetria Walker (sponsor) and some Young Ladies from the Meridian High School Color Guard worked in our pantry and helped stock our pantry with items we needed. Thanks again !!

It’s Thankful Thursday ♥️ Special thanks to Leia Lockey-Currie (Branch Loan Officer) and all the wonderful folks at Great Southern Bank for doing what they love - supporting and helping out the community, by giving back ! This very generous donation will be used to help feed the hungry in our community. We are very grateful for the positive and powerful impact that Great Southern Bank is making in our community ♥️

Officers from the Meridian Police Department did a different kind of serving today. They were joined by Pastor Kelvin Croom (father of Officer Croom). It’s been almost five years since Kennis stood on that same line. Officer Croom was a part of our Security team, but he would help out on the line if needed. The cook would tell me to get Croom some days - she said he was giving away all the food. So today we did a little extra - we served a Croom Sized Meal.

Thankful Thursday part 3. We could not just serve simple burgers - we had to put some professionals on the grill.
Briton Brassfield (BB) and his cousin Anthony Lindsey (Big Ant) have been cooking together since they were knee high little boys - showing the adults how to make it taste good ♥️. When BB isn’t standing ready to save lives with the Meridian Fire Department you can visit him at Beyond Catering - at 1401 26th Ave, Meridian, MS (across the street from the Central Fire Station). Thank you guys so much for serving up some delicious burgers ♥️♥️♥️

Thankful Thursday part 2. The McGowan Brothers made a special donation and took over the line at the kitchen today. This family has been one of our greatest supporters and we are so grateful - Jonathon is already planning the next meal and is making his shopping list. So we send this family a special thanks and we will see you soon. ♥️♥️♥️

Thankful Thursday part 1. Stay tuned for parts 2 and 3. Today is National Hamburger Day - and we wanted our clients to enjoy a juicy burger and some tasty fries - so we made some calls. We wanted to meal to be delicious from the first bite of that burger with all the fixings to the last sip of a delicious cold beverage. I hoped one of our companies could help ( very short notice) but we live in Meridian, Mississippi - all three helped - but they always do - so it was no surprise. We are so grateful to live in a community where we help each other - so please help me give a special thanks to Brown Bottling, Coca Cola and Magnolia Beverage!!!
