My heroes have always been soldiers.
From the time I was a little boy lining up toy soldiers on the living room floor, I looked up to the men and women who wore the uniform. Maybe it’s because my father, grandfather, and uncles all served — military service wasn’t just something I admired, it was part of my heritage.
In 1979, I answered the call myself and joined the Air Force. Serving my country was one of the greatest honors of my life. Today, I’m proud to be retired — but my passion for our veterans has never faded.
Now I have the privilege of hosting Forging Alliances, a veteran radio show sponsored by Russell Williamson, Rope Solutions, and our area community partners who stand with those who served. This show gives me the opportunity to interview former military leaders who reached the top of their careers in uniform and are now carrying that experience, discipline, and leadership into the private sector through coaching and mentorship.
I truly get to interview my heroes — the American Soldier 🇺🇸
