🎉 NEW SPOT PARTNER + NEW ADAPTIVE OPPORTUNITY! 🤸‍♀️💙

We are so excited to introduce our newest SPOT community partner — On The Move Studio in Enterprise!

One of our goals at The SPOT is to help families find places where their children are not only welcomed, but supported, encouraged, and given the opportunity to try something new. We are thrilled to partner with On The Move Studio as they launch a NEW Adaptive Gymnastics class!

🤸 Adaptive Gymnastics
For kids ages 3–18 of all abilities who may benefit from a little extra support or modification while learning gymnastics skills.

And friends, you will be in wonderful hands! Kristina Crabtree has years of experience working with children and is excited to meet each child where they are. Families who would feel more comfortable becoming familiar with the space before the first class can also arrange to visit the studio ahead of time. We LOVE this option for our friends who do best when they know what to expect! 💙

The class will focus on so much more than gymnastics skills. Through fun, appropriately adapted activities, friends can work on balance and coordination, strength and motor skills, body awareness, confidence, independence, social interaction, and — most importantly — having fun!

📅 4-Week Course: September 10–October 1
⏰ Thursdays | 6:15–7:00 PM
📍 On The Move Studio | Enterprise, MS
💲 $15 registration fee — good for the entire 2026–27 year and all courses offered
💲 $30 course fee

We are especially excited about this partnership because it creates another place in our community where every body belongs. 💗

If you've wondered whether gymnastics could be a good fit for your child but weren't sure where to begin, this is your invitation to give it a try! Modifications and additional support are part of the plan.

There is something so special about Covenant Dance. 🩰🤍

Summer 2026 marked our fourth adaptive dance class with Caroline Carnes and her incredible team of buddies, and somehow, each session becomes sweeter than the one before.

The dancers are beautiful to watch and an absolute joy to know. Every step, every twirl, every hand held, every smile and every moment of courage feels like an act of worship.
But Covenant Dance has become about so much more than learning to dance.

Friendships have formed. There has been so much laughter. Buddies and dancers have created bonds that extend beyond the dance floor. Parents and families gather, cheer one another on, share stories and celebrate each dancer for exactly who they are.

Each session brings its own sweet moments of connection—the kind that remind us why opportunities like this matter so much.

We are incredibly thankful for Caroline, for every buddy who gives their time and heart, for Covenant Church - Meridian, MS for continuing to make room, and for the families who trust us with their dancers.
Four classes in, and the joy hasn't faded. If anything, it has grown.

This is belonging.
This is friendship.
This is worship.

And this is Covenant Dance. 🩰✨

💪 Building strength, confidence, and self- mastery one workout at a time. 💙

Inclusion extends far beyond the classroom, church, community events, and more. It belongs in fitness communities too.

We are incredibly grateful to Frank Harbin, CEO of Total Body Transformation, for recognizing that everyone deserves the opportunity to experience the physical, emotional, and social benefits of movement by offering free and unlimited workout sessions for children, teens, and adults with disabilities.

These sessions are about so much more than exercise. They create opportunities to build confidence, improve health, encourage independence, and remind every participant that they are capable of achieving great things as they are met exactly where they are at.

It’s incredible when we come together with others who are willing to think differently, remove barriers, and open doors for others. Frank and the Total Body Transformation team are doing exactly that, and their commitment is making a meaningful impact on so many lives.

Thank you for investing your time, your heart, and your facility to create a place where individuals of all abilities and all ages are welcomed, encouraged, and empowered.

💙 More churches are recognizing that inclusion isn’t simply a ministry, it’s a reflection of the love of Christ in action. 💙

Northcrest Baptist Church’s FIRST Limitless Special needs VBS was a beautiful example of what Christ’s love looks like in action!

Their preparation, countless volunteer hours, prayer, and creativity created a space where children, teens, and adults with disabilities could worship, learn, create, play, and simply be themselves. Just as importantly, caregivers were cared for through a dedicated space designed for rest, encouragement, and connection.

As we share these experiences it’s really eye opening to see how far we’ve come as a community!!

At The SPOT – Special Place For Others To Thrive, we’ve had the privilege of watching churches across our community embrace adaptive and inclusive opportunities that continue to grow year after year. Whether through adaptive Vacation Bible School, sensory-friendly celebrations, disability ministries, family events, or inclusive worship experiences, churches are opening their doors wider and demonstrating that everyone has a place.

These efforts don’t happen by accident. They are made possible by pastors, ministry leaders, volunteers, families, community partners who are willing to listen, learn, adapt, serve, and hear the whispers of the Lord.

Every accommodation made…
Every volunteer trained…
Every friendship formed…
Every family welcomed…

…helps build a community where individuals of all abilities are seen, valued, and invited to fully participate.

Thank you to Northcrest Baptist Church and to every church throughout our community that continues answering the call to create spaces of belonging. Your willingness to grow and serve is changing lives and strengthening our community one relationship at a time.

Together, we’re building a future and opportunities where inclusion is not the exception, it is simply who we are through Christ’s love. 💙

🎆 Sensory-Friendly Fireworks: A Night to Remember 🎆

Next we’re highlighting New Harvest Church 😍🙌🏼

New Harvest Church hosted an annual sensory-friendly fireworks experience for individuals and families of all abilities.

For many families, traditional fireworks celebrations can be overwhelming due to loud noises, large crowds, and sensory sensitivities. New Harvest created an environment where families could enjoy the excitement of Independence Day in a way that felt welcoming, safe, and inclusive.

The smiles, laughter, and moments of connection seen in these pictures are a beautiful reminder that a few thoughtful accommodations can make a world of difference. Inclusion isn’t about changing who people are—it’s about creating spaces where everyone has the opportunity to participate and meeting individuals where they are at in their journey.

We are incredibly grateful to New Harvest Church for recognizing this need and answering the call to serve our community with compassion and creativity. 💙✨
