Adaptive Fish Day with Fish Fry & Chicken is coming up! 💙

We’re so excited to partner with Missionscape for a special afternoon created for individuals with disabilities and their families! Saturday, May 16th will be a day filled with fishing, connection, laughter, and community. 🐟✨

Families will enjoy an afternoon of fishing together and yard activities before gathering for a delicious catfish fish fry with our wonderful host the Prospect Presbyterian Church under their Pavilion 🍽️ Meals will be distributed in convenient to-go containers for families to enjoy together.

🎣 Please bring your own fishing gear.

We can’t wait to spend next Saturday with you all and we hope you have a wonderful time celebrating Mother’s Day Weekend! ❤️

🌼 MAY IS BLOOMING AT THE SPOT 🌼🐝

Our May calendar is HERE and it’s filled with many beautiful moments waiting to happen — connection, laughter, inclusion, and memories with your loved ones! ✨

This month we’re excited to highlight family-friendly events, sensory-friendly experiences, community gatherings, adaptive activities, and opportunities for families to connect and thrive together throughout Mississippi! 🌈✨

From nature walks and train days to adaptive fishing ( Next post will have more details about Adaptive fishing day happening next weekend! ) , art crawls, music festivals, and summer reading kickoffs — there’s something for everyone this month! 🫶🏼

At The SPOT, we believe community matters. Motherhood, caregiving, and raising children with different needs can feel overwhelming, beautiful, lonely, and magical all at once… but finding your people, your village, your tribe — that changes everything. 💕

As we wrapped up our season finale game, we couldn’t help but reflect on what an incredible season this has been for everyone involved. We appreciate everyone’s patience as we worked through a few kinks along the way, and we are so thankful for every person who helped make this league so special for all. Hearing firsthand how much fun our players had all season long was the ultimate reward — and that’s what truly matters most. 🏆💚

Tomorrow is our 3rd and FINAL game of the 2026 Challenger League Baseball season, and we can’t wait to celebrate BIG with our athletes and families! 💙

🗓 Sunday, April 26th

• 2:00 PM – Littles
• 3:15 PM – Teen & Adult Group 1
• 4:30 PM – Adult Group 2

🍧 Bonita Lakes Sno Biz will be there to help us celebrate the end of an incredible season!

🏅 All athletes will receive their season medals—a special moment we look forward to every year!

From first at-bats to home runs, high-fives to big smiles—this season has been one to remember. Come cheer on our athletes one last time and help us celebrate all they’ve accomplished! 🙌

✨ Covenant Dance Recital Night ✨

What a beautiful way to celebrate the end of our spring season 💗

Our dancers took the stage as graceful fairy butterflies and princely dragonflies—bringing imagination, confidence, and so much joy to life right in front of us. The transformation over these past weeks has been incredible to witness.

The joy in the room was truly palpable—overflowing with laughter, proud moments, and the kind of magic that only happens when a community comes together.

Friendships have formed, new talents have emerged, and every single Tuesday night has been filled with fun, growth, and connection.
We are so thankful for Mrs. Caroline Carnes, Covenant Church - Meridian, MS, and our amazing buddies who walk alongside our dancers with such love and encouragement. You make this adaptive ballet class not only possible—but incredibly special.

And to our families—thank you for entrusting us with your loved ones each week. It is an honor we don’t take lightly.

We are incredibly grateful for a community that shows up, gives back, and believes in making a difference 💛

Hill Real Estate Group, LLC in Meridian, MS has selected The Spot Special Place For Others To Thrive as one of its 2025 contribution recipients through their Agent Giving Program, and we are truly honored.

This team consistently pours into our community in meaningful ways, and it has been a joy to serve alongside their agents at so many events over the years.

We’re gearing up for Game Day 2 this Sunday, April 19th, and we can’t wait to see everyone back on the field! 💛
