That's an area over 21,000 square miles in size, and nearly 170,000 seniors.

We would like to give a tremendous shout out and THANK YOU to the community of Emmett, especially Terilyn C. and her Girl Scouts troop who worked hard to minimize damage to our Gift Shop booth after 50mph winds tore through our canopies and knocked over 1800 items with the racks.

Hold The Door For Humanity had already left for the day, and the Girl Scouts jumped into action and worked hard to pile all 1800 items into their trailer until we could drive back to Emmett.

Also, thank you so much to Doe Uhlry for contacting us late at night to let us know what had happened.

After everything, only about 10 items were damaged but our canopies are a lost cause. We are thankful it was not worse. Thank you Bears Knight Out Gift Shop and Gem County Independence Day Festival crew for all your hard work and the feeling of community that you foster.
