Rancho the Rooster 🤍🐓❤️
I’m headed down a busy Eagle road - On my way to a work meeting and at a stoplight I look over and there’s a truck with a bed full of chickens. A rooster pops up onto the tailgate and begins to strut back-and-forth. The light turns green and the truck springs forward and the chicken tries desperately to get back into the bed. He slips and hits the tailgate on the way down. I don’t make the green light and when I look in my rearview, I see the bird lying motionless on the road. I quickly put my truck in park and jog back and pick him up off the road and lay him gently in the bed of my truck. I still have a work meeting so I make a little shade area for him to spend his last remaining minutes. I come back from my meeting to find a very alive rooster.
I guess that’s life sometimes - You’re strutting on top of a tailgate and suddenly the next thing you know, you find yourself face down on the highway. But someone sees, someone cares, and someone scoops you up and you get to live your best life 🫶
