The Salvation Army - Meriden, CT Its Soup Kitchen serves meals to individuals and families of low income on Saturdays and Sundays, days when no other soup kitchen is serving meals in Meriden.

follow us for more information! In Meriden, The Salvation Army meets the basic needs of families and individuals through the Meriden Corps' Comprehensive Emergency Assistance progra

m, consisting of an emergency Food Pantry, Soup Kitchen, Pathway of Hope initiative, holiday assistance (food baskets and toys), and the provision of rent and utility assistance. The Pathway of Hope initiative provides intensive case management to clients who are looking toward self-sufficiency. Addition workshops and individualized coaching on topics such as economic survival (credit/debt, controlling spending, and preparing for job changes), planning for the future, resume writing and eating healthy on a budget are available for clients upon request.

Family Camp 2026 brought us a meaningful time of worship, fellowship, and carnival games! Members of corps all across CT and RI were invited to Camp CONNRI to celebrate the love and joy of togetherness with their families. The children played carnival games, collected tickets, and traded them in for lots of prizes!
