Meriden Mineral Club The OFFICIAL page of the LMSCC (aka Meriden Mineral Club) a non-profit group for all Rockhounds and folks who like minerals, lapidary, and Nature's beauty.

LMSCC (aka Meriden Mineral Club) is a non-profit group dedicated to the promotion, study, and encouragement of interest in rocks, minerals, gems, fossils, meteorites, and lapidary arts through monthly meetings, lectures, discussions, field trips, and educational events. We are a member organization of the Eastern Federation of Mineralogical & Lapidary Societies (EFMLS), and the American Federation of Mineralogical Societies (AFMS). Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the above topics.

Here’s how it works:

We’ll give you a clue (or two) about a mystery mineral and you make your best guess in the comments. If nobody gets it, we’ll keep adding clues until someone cracks the mystery!

Since this is our first round, we’re starting you off with TWO clues. But fair warning… as the mysteries get more difficult, you may only get ONE clue to start. 😈

And try not to Google the clues — that takes all the fun out of it!

We had a great turnout and wonderful weather today for our annual Bristol / Meriden clubs Multi-club picnic! I think everyone filled their bellies & filled their boxes & boxes with rocks & mineral specimens that were for sale.. A truly awesome day! ** DON'T FORGET OUR LAP SHOPS BIG SALE SATURDAY AUGUST 1st.. NEXT SATURDAY!! At the BARNES NATURE CENTER, BRISTOL,CT. from 10:00am ~ 2:00pm.. BRING YER BUCKETS!!
