The Ray LaMay Memorial Golf Tournament and Banquet is dedicated to honoring the memory of Raymond LaMay and sharing his joy of sports and friendship with a newly created annual Memorial Golf Tournament. The tournament was originally created by the LaMay family in 2010. The money raised through the tournament and banquet is all given back to some amazing charities and groups to help the lives of countless others.

We are sold out and excited for Our 15th Annual Ray LaMay Memorial Golf Tournament and Lunch Banquet,on August 15th at Timberlin Golf Course. Check in begins at 7:30 AM and Tee off will take place at 9:00 AM. We will have a pre golf cash raffle, putting contest and a huge raffle at the lunch banquet.

Hello,

On Tuesday May 20th, Ciara Petrosky was honored as our 2025 Ray LaMay Memorial Scholarship winner.

Ciara was highly active in the school community. A high honors student, this student has distinguished herself through her academic excellence, strong character, and dedication to serving others. Her passion for music and leadership as a section leader in the Maloney High School band showcase her talent and drive. Our winner exemplifies the spirit of this scholarship, and we are honored to recognize her achievements and support her continued success. She wrote about her grandfather as an inspiration in her essay for this scholarship, he is a talented musician as well. We are proud to announce Ciara Petrosky as the 2025 recipient of the Ray LaMay Memorial Scholarship.

Supporting our cause allows us to support outstanding students like Ciara. In addition to awarding a 2026 Scholarship winner we will once again be supporting the Meriden Girls and Boys Club, and Camp Rising Sun

Our tournament will be Friday August 15th again at Timberlin with a morning tee off. We want to wish a happy fathers day to all of the amazing Dads out there! In June we awarded Morgan Pelletier our annual Ray LaMay Memorial Scholarship. She is an outstanding young woman who has overcome great adversity to succeed academically and athletically. We want to thank our family friend Scott Aresco for presenting the scholarship.

It is hard to believe that our tournament is just two months away. We will again be at Timberlin Golf Course on Friday August 16th with a 9:00 am shotgun start for golfers. Registration is open for our event. You can register via Venmo @ Ray-LaMayMemorialFund, on our tournament website, by paying in person to one of us or by mail. Please register soon, we typically sell out in July.

Hello,

We would like to take a moment to thank everyone for a great tournament on Friday October 13th. It was humbling to achieve our 12th straight sell out, especially being that the tournament took place on our rain out date. The day was such a great achievement that it is difficult to highlight only a few special moments. However we would like to give a shout out to: Courtney Hettrick and Kim Pappas who volunteered from 7 am until the end of the tournament to raise over $700 on the course. During the lunch banquet it was a special treat to hear Ryan Dunn the current Deputy Fire Chief of Meriden and Board member of the Meriden Boys and Girls Club reflect upon his childhood and his positive experience being coached by Ray LaMay in Soccer, Basketball and Baseball. We thank our volunteers, sponsors and participants from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you so much for another successful event.
