In just three weeks, Jefferson West students will be back in the classroom, and our mentors can’t wait to reconnect with their mentees, hear about their summer adventures, and begin another year of encouragement, laughter, and growth. Right now, we’re looking for more caring adults to join the Jefferson West Teammates family. You don’t need special experience…just a willing heart and just 30-60 minutes once a week during the school year within school hours to meet with your mentee on campus to make a lasting difference in a student’s life. As we wrap up another incredible year with the Jefferson West Teammates Chapter, our hearts are so full of gratitude. ❤️

To our mentors…thank you for showing up week after week. Thank you for carving out time in your busy schedules, for listening, encouraging, laughing, investing, and simply being present. Your consistency matters more than you may ever fully realize. The gift of showing up for a young person with patience, kindness, and genuine care leaves a lasting impact that reaches far beyond a school year.

To our mentees, thank you for showing up too. Thank you for your smiles, your personalities, your stories, your growth, and for allowing others into your world. Watching friendships form, confidence build, and connections strengthen throughout the year has been such a privilege.

The beauty of the Teammates Mentoring Program is that it’s never just about one person pouring into another…it’s about relationships, encouragement, growth, and reminding one another that none of us are meant to walk through life alone.

We are incredibly thankful for every mentor and every mentee who helped make this year meaningful. Wishing all of you a summer filled with rest, joy, adventure, and memory-making.

Some days remind you exactly why you show up. 💛

My time with my mentee today was one of those days I’ll hold onto for a long time. She is truly something special…kind, imaginative, thoughtful, and full of a quiet magic that makes you pause and appreciate the beauty of who she is becoming.

Today we let our creativity run wild ✨
We dreamed, sketched, and laughed our way through designing her perfect dream ball…no limits, no rules… just pure imagination.

If I were her fairy godmother, this is what we created together:
A night filled with glowing lights, flowing gowns, music that feels like a story, and a world built entirely from her ideas. Every sketch she made was a glimpse into how beautifully she sees the world…full of wonder, possibility, and heart.

Moments like this are what mentoring is all about. It’s not just about guidance…it’s about connection, creativity, and reminding these incredible kids that their dreams matter and their voices are powerful.

I’m so proud of her. 💫

🚨 WE NEED MALE MENTORS NOW.

Right now, we have:

• A 6th grade boy waiting
• A 7th grade boy waiting
• An 8th grade boy waiting

Each one is hoping to be matched with a positive male role model.

Just 30 minutes once a week during school hours over your lunch break or maybe right after dropping students off at school or anytime between 8am-3pm on campus can change the trajectory of a student’s life.

You don’t need to be perfect.
You just need to show up.

By mentoring, you’re not only investing in one student — you’re strengthening our entire Jefferson West community.
