Quick cleanup on this Saturday morning. Very peaceful with lots of reflection. Thank you for the kind words shared while I was out there. Our monument is clean and panhandle free.

Small steps lead to bigger steps.

Good morning, Meriden. A very interesting monument cleanup this morning. Colored bags 🤷🏻‍♂️ are on the ground and on the monument itself. Otherwise, our monument is clean and panhandle-free. Here's to a safe day and night. Small steps lead to bigger steps. - Sean

Horrible. I hate to say it but Guard rails will help. ~Sean~https://www.facebook.com/share/p/17ejnaktN6/?mibextid=wwXIfr

A World War II monument was damaged Sunday after a man lost control of his vehicle and crashed on Broad Street in Meriden, police say.

Veterans Day Appreciation

I’d like to thank Councilman Bob Williams for organizing the annual Veterans Day service across from our Monument at Stop & Shop. I truly appreciate his continued dedication to the veterans of our city.

Thank you to Mayor Kevin Scarpetti, Kim Carbone Pandiani, and Councilman Ray Ouellet for being in attendance and showing support. It was a chilly morning, but your presence meant a lot.

It’s disappointing, however, that some of our newly elected Council members couldn’t find the time to come out and show respect to those who’ve served. Moments like this are about community and gratitude—showing up matters.

A big thank you to the Antique Veterans, Meriden PD, Meriden Fire Department, and all our First Responders. And a special shoutout to Amici Della Vigna for the hot soup—it hit the spot.

What's a little rain? Picked up around the monument today. Pretty gross, actually. Remind me to never buy garbage bags from dollar stores. 🤦🏻 These bags are horrible. Anyway, the monument is clean and panhandle-free. Here is to a safe and quiet night in the City of Meriden, CT
