The Connecticut Spokebenders had a fantastic time partaking in the wheelchair basketball clinic along with the RMF at the Hospital for Special Care Ivan Lendl Adaptive Sports Camp this past Thursday!

It was a fun day of teaching, playing, and sharing our love for the game with the campers. Even more special was having Spokebenders from both the past and present together, celebrating the legacy and future of our program!

A huge thank you to Quinnipiac Camp No Limits for inviting coaches and players from the CT Spokebenders and RMF to lead a wheelchair basketball clinic at camp! It was an honor to share the game with such an incredible group of campers.

A special thank you as well to the Quinnipiac Women's Basketball and Quinnipiac Men's Basketball basketball teams for joining us on the court and helping make the clinic such a fun and memorable experience. The Connecticut Spokebenders had a great time at the annual SCIACT picnic hosted by Advanced Wheels in East Granby.

Thank you to Advanced Wheels for hosting this fantastic event and to the Spinal Cord Injury Association of Connecticut (SCIACT) for inviting us to be part of the day.

It was awesome seeing all the modified vehicles, inclusive recreation, and tech gear on display that help people keep moving and living freely.

The Spokebenders wrapped up the season with a doubleheader against the . We came up short in both games, but it was a great day of competition and growth to close things out. 💪
Big thanks to the Tri Borough Legends for making the trip and bringing the competition! 🤝
Shoutout to the Quinnipiac University volunteers for their support, Medical Supplies for providing lunch 🍽️, and Sophia from Sophia Photography for volunteering her time and capturing the day 📸 — we appreciate you all! 🙌

The energy in the gym was incredible, and it meant a lot to see the community come together for such a fun and meaningful event. 🙌

And a big shout out to Mr. Napoli — Spokebenders player and Pomperaug teacher — for spearheading this event and bringing it all together. 💪🔥
