Our Spring Young Eagles Rally is June 13, 2026 from 9am to 3pm. Rain date is June 14. Registration opens May 13. Spots fill up fast so mark your calendars!

At our Fall 2025 Young Eagles Rally, held on October 25, we flew 58 Young Eagles. The weather was near perfect with amazing visibility for this part of the world. Many thanks to our amazing ground crew for making the process so smooth, and to the staff at Meriden-Markham airport for their amazing support. And, of course to our pilots donating their time, fuel and planes.

The KMMK Tetrahedron is Back!

The airport tetrahedron is once again pointing the wind direction at KMMK. It was heavily damaged by an ice storm last winter but a small, dedicated team has refurbished it and remounted it.

Thanks go to Doug Dringoli who fabricated a new--and much heavier duty--mount. Joe Bogaki and Mark Scott did the lion's share of patching metal, scraping paint and repainting first with day-glo orange and then a clear top coat. Randy Seeber and Rick Beebe chipped in as well.

The team that got it remounted in position was Doug, Mark, Rick, Hank Wimbrow and our new assistant airport manager, Dean Shields.

2025 YOUNG EAGLES RALLIES
Chapter 27's Young Eagle Rallies will be held on June 7 and October 25. Rain dates will be the 8th and 26th. Registration will open approximately 1 month before each rally. Stay tuned for updates!
