Sno-Streakers Snowmobile Club

Sno-Streakers Snowmobile Club Through the hard work of volunteers and collaboration with generous landowners SnoStreakers works to maintain and improve the Meredith trail system.

The Sno-Streakers snowmobile club was started in 1972 by a small group of dedicated snowmobiling enthusiasts. They secured access to, cleared, and groomed about 35 miles of trails. The original grooming was done with weighted bedsprings dragged behind members sleds. In 1980 an Alpine twin track mono ski groomer was purchased by the club. In 1985 and 1987 two Polaris snowmobiles were added with Col

ebrook drags. In 1990 a 76' Otto with a drag was purchased. In 1998 a Polaris with a Mogul Master drag was bought and most recently the fleet of groomers has been capped off with the acquisition of a 2003 Tucker 1000 with a Mogul Master drag and dozer snow blade. Over the years trails have been improved, bridges built and maintained, and grooming has progressed. Through good relations with local land owners and businesses the club is proud to still have over 35 miles of trails, not a simple achievement considering the development boom in the Lakes Region. The membership has risen to about 370 members and the trails have never been better - thanks to the hard work of the trail crews.

The best season in recent memory has come to an end here in Meredith. The warm spell this week took out too much of our base, and the lakes are slush pits. Even with some more snow on the way, we don't see us being able to reopen. Gates will be closing, and signage will be coming down.

While we may be done for this winter, we are already preparing for next season. We have some big reroutes in the works to make things even better for next winter. If you'd like to help out, come to a meeting and get on our contact list.

With that said, THANK YOU to everyone who visited our trails this season. Also a huge thank you to the surrounding clubs. We are one of many, and it takes a village to keep the NH network intact.

There will be another weekend of riding in the Lakes Region! We've received about 9 inches of snow this week helping to keep us open. Groomers were out last night. Conditions across the system will vary. Sun exposed spots are very thin, while the railbed into Ashland is a 10/10 (not a joke) and the best it's been in recent memory.

This may not be the last weekend to ride within our system, but it will most likely be the last weekend to go on 100 mile adventures around the lake. The surrounding clubs have done an incredible job this season keeping things going, and we appreciate all the hard work put in by volunteers. Go ride. Be safe. Enjoy the warmer weather.

Mike, Gus, and Jim were out last night cleaning up from the weekend. The entire system has seen a groomer over the last 24 hours. We have snow in the forecast tomorrow into Wednesday, and something coming at the end of the week. Hoping to squeak out another weekend or two if the stars align.

Fun fact, these groomers haven't crossed paths all season. They've always been out on opposite sides of the system, until tonight.

Now...the weekend might be done, but we aren't. Groomers are out to clean up after some great riding and welcome abuse. As far as conditions, we have spots down to dirt heading up towards Moultonborough, the road crossings are pulling back, and areas in direct sunlight are thinning out. The railroad bed is actually in incredible shape all the way up to Ashland. This week is a mixed back on the weather front. If you can get out during the week, you should. We'll keep on making everything as smooth as we can while the weather allows it.

Trail Update 2/28/26 - Groomers were out last night out to The Mug, up the railroad bed, over to the 104 Diner, Twin Barns, to Winnisquam, and finishing up at Pickerel Pond. We've had some warmer days but the nights have been very cold keeping conditions excellent.
