It's time for an egg hunt - a Spotted Lanternfly egg mass hunt, that is! This is the last month to hunt and squish Spotted Lanternfly egg masses. They will begin to hatch in May! Take a walk with a pastry roller or putty knife and get to squishing!

Each mass contains 30-50 eggs!

See those white splotches on the tree? Those are Spotted Lanternfly egg sacs, and they need to go! Simply scrape the egg sacs off any surface using an old credit card or plastic scraper, then put them in a Ziploc bag filled with rubbing alcohol to kill them. Now is a critical time to kill SLF egg sacs and keep these pesky insects from invading our gardens this summer! Big thanks to Pedro for sending us this photo and for removing egg sacs off of his trees!

Join us for a day of service to the community in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
The Merchantville Diversity Committee is sponsoring a West Maple Neighborhood clean up day on Monday, January 18th from 10:00am - 2:00pm. Volunteers can meet at Wellwood Park, Maple and Hamilton near the snack bar. Be sure to wear a mask and practice safe distancing.
