✨ We received a call about a family that had recently been displaced and was walking through an incredibly difficult season. In the midst of it all was a beautiful young lady whose prom was quickly approaching — and she had nothing prepared to make this special moment possible.

Without hesitation, JBOL stepped in. ❤️

We were honored to provide a variety of prom dresses for her to choose from, along with a gift card to help complete her look with accessories, hair, makeup, or anything else she needed to feel beautiful and confident on her special night.

This is what we are called to do. To serve. To love. To show up.

Community matters. Being present matters. Sometimes the smallest act of kindness can remind someone they are seen, valued, and deeply loved.

JBOL is excited to host a special event designed to help young ladies get fully prepared for prom night. 💃🏽
We’ll have:

💇🏽‍♀️ Hair consultations
🎁 Giveaways
We are currently accepting donations and partnerships to make this experience unforgettable.
We welcome:
• Gently used or new dresses & accessories
• Monetary donations (link in our bio to donate)
• Beauty, fashion, or styling professionals who would like to partner with us and share their artistry
All contributions will go directly toward supporting these young ladies with their prom needs.

Due to yet another round of snow, we have to reschedule our MLK Community Service Day. To avoid any more weather plot twists, we’re pushing the date even farther back.

Compassion International visited HPC! If anyone did not get the opportunity to sponsor a child, thirty-four children are still waiting to be sponsored. Their envelopes will be up during service on Monday and Wednesday. Please see a JBOL volunteer or leader for help with sponsorship.
