- LOON SPOTTERS (LOFA has been asked to track and report Loons on our lake. We have set-up a Google Form to enter Loon Sightings)

- Boat Launch Mowing (we are in need of volunteers to help us keep the boat launch mowed : sign-up below)

We went around and scanned all the new fish stick structures! They all dropped right where they were planned, we couldn’t have asked for a better ice out!

They should be a great asset to the lake and if they produce we can plan 4 more in another year.

What a beautiful view of the lake today. And what makes it even more beautiful is the fact that all of the fish sticks have fallen into the lake last night. From reports from our spotter Darren the ice did not shift much to move them far from where they were supposed to be. We could not have asked for a better thaw! In the next few weeks we will be out to assess where they are and verify they rest deep enough below the water line. Happy Spring!

As an update on the Great Dane loose around the lake... you'll be seeing more of him around 😀 President Stephen and his family have adopted the big guy and are happy to give him a good home. He's got some healing yet to do but so far should return to a clean bill of health with some love and care.

We are happy to introduce Titan officially to the neighborhood.

Wow what a winter! This weekend concluded this year's fish stick project on Lake of the Falls. And what an undertaking it was! Let's take a look at the numbers that all went into the project:

Trees Cut and Transported To The Lake: 103
Volunteers: 11
Man Hours: 228
Marker Stakes: 120
Stainless Steel Wire: 700 Ft
Cinder Blocks: 210
Trucks: 5
Snow Machines: 8
Gas and Diesel Fuel: 200 Gallons

A huge shout out to everyone that helped make this possible donating Time, Materials, and Funds to make this all happen!

Over the next year and a half those fishing the lake and the new fish sticks let us know what your catching on them so we can let the DNR know they are working and can do another 4 locations!

UPDATE! HE HAS BEEN CAUGHT AND IN GOOD HANDS! Everyone in regards to the Great Dane on the loose at the south end of the lake there is a rescue group that has a trap set for him. They have asked everyone to stop putting out food for him so they can catch him before it gets too cold again! Please let others know as well to stop feeding him. Thanks!
