Today was a beautiful reminder of what happens when people come together with a shared purpose.
All the Rotary Clubs of Mercer County united at the Mercer County Courthouse for the dedication of our Peace Pole, a lasting symbol of peace, hope, and the belief that a better world begins with each of us.
As we celebrate America's 250th anniversary, this dedication reminds us that peace is more than the absence of conflict. It is found in the way we treat one another, the compassion we extend to those around us, and our willingness to build bridges where others see division.
We were especially honored to have Past Rotary International President Stephanie Urchick join us for this meaningful occasion. Her presence made an already significant day even more memorable.
The Peace Pole will stand as a reminder to every person who passes by that peace is not simply something we wish for. It is something we must actively choose, protect, and create through our actions.
May Peace Prevail on Earth.
Thank you to every Rotary Club in Mercer County, our community partners, and everyone who helped make today's dedication possible. Together, we have created something that will remind future generations of the power of unity, service, and our shared humanity.
