The Sha'nini George Foundation - SGF 501c3 The SGF was established in honor of 3rd class Titanic passenger Sha’nini George, Lebanese immigrant.

Due to the massive confusion, the fact that Sha'nini barely spoke any English at the time, and the extreme listing of the Titanic (where lifeboats would normally have had to travel 70 feet from the deck to the top of the water, Sha'nini’s lifeboat only had to travel 10-15 feet to the water!), made it the last lifeboat for her. Her family founded Joy Cone Company, headquartered in western PA, which is the largest producer of ice cream cones.
