APPLE DUMPLING DAYS - Place Your Order Now

Apple Dumpling Days is both a great time of fellowship for all who volunteer and a terrific fundraiser for the mission and ministry of our congregation. Now through Wednesday, October 7 orders will be received for either unbaked apple dumplings ($4.00 each) or baked apple dumplings ($5.00 each)..

PLACING ORDERS:

Order through Facebook Messenger or TEXT Message (724-813-4134). Please provide following information:

Name & Cell Phone #
Number of Baked Apple Dumplings ($5.00 each)
Number of Unbaked Apple Dumplings ($4.00 each)

PICK UP & PAYING FOR ORDERS:

All Apple Dumpling Orders will be ready for pick up on Friday, October 9. Once your order is completed you will receive a TEXT or phone call informing you that your order is ready. Orders can be picked up in the Fellowship Hall at Lebanon Presbyterian Church.

All orders can be paid for at the time of pick up. Acceptable forms of payment include, cash or check. Checks payable to "Lebanon Presbyterian Church."

PLAN TO VOLUNTEER:

Volunteers will gather in the Fellowship Hall at Lebanon to prepare the dumplings. Sign up to volunteer by filling out the bottom of your order form, or just simply show up on any of the following dates and times to lend a hand.

• Thursday Evening (Oct. 8 at 6:00 p.m.) – Peel & Core Apples
• Friday Morning (Oct. 9 at 8:00 a..m.) – Make & Bake Dumplings
• Friday Afternoon (Oct. 9 at Noon) – Fill Orders & Clean-up

DONATIONS ONLY:

Consider then making a monetary donation to help offset the cost of supplies and ingredients for the apple dumplings. All donations and proceeds from Apple Dumpling Days will be used to support the missions and ministries of Lebanon Presbyterian Church.

The barn stone wall around the church sign was completed this week. A much needed improvement!

Much thanks to Doug Schmid for hand selecting and hauling the barn stone from the Rust Family Farm in Mercer, Pa. Kirt Snyder for the tractor assist, and Logan Phillips for helping Augie Hurst with all the heavy things!

NEW SERMON SERIES - Begins, Sunday, September 13, 2026

Join us for worship at Lebanon this Fall as we learn about the “Life of David” as chronicled in the Old Testament books of 1 & 2 Samuel. This series will focus on the key moments and themes from David’s life from shepherd boy to King of Israel. David’s life is full of highs and lows, a journey of faith and failure, and a foreshadowing of truth ultimately fulfilled in the life of Jesus.

This Sunday (9/13) – Introduction to the Life of David (1 Samuel 8)
Next Sunday (9/20) – Samuel Anoints David as King (1 Samuel 15-16)

LABOR DAY - Finding Rest at the Table

Join us this Labor Day Weekend for on of our Sunday services of worship at Lebanon (8:30 a. or 11:00 a). Both services will include the celebration of communion, along with a message by Pastor Augie; reflecting on how communion is more about a place of rest for the weary, rather than a reward for the righteous who labor for a reward. Our Scripture readings this Sunday, include:

• Psalm Reading: Psalm 148
• Old Testament Reading: Isaiah 55:1-5
• Epistle Reading: Romans 4:1-8
• Gospel Reading: Matthew 11:28-30

Abe’s Old Fashion Custard will provide the ice cream and Mike Peterson & Friends will provide live music. Bring a lawn chair and join us under the shade tree next to the Church Shelter located at (2090 Mercer- West Middlesex Road /Rt. 318)
