Island Friends is a junior guild, created to help support the Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine Unit (PBMU) at Seattle Children's Hospital.

The members of the Island Friends Guild were happy to collect and donate so many new warm and cozy blankets to the families staying at the Ronald McDonald house in Seattle!

This organization supports those families who must be close to Seattle Childrens while their child is a patient across the street at the hospital. It was fun to see Ronald just chillin on the bench outside!

Exciting update from IFG! ‼️💙🧡

Did you know that Seattle Children’s recently opened the first pediatric-focused psychiatric urgent care clinic in Washington State? The clinic’s mental and behavioral health team can provide in-person and virtual crisis assessment, initial care recommendations and referrals to follow-up care in the community. The Island Friends Junior Guild directly benefits the Psychiatry and Behavioral medical unit at Seattle Children’s – and we couldn’t do it without the support of a caring community!

Happy Fall! 🍁🍂Seattle Children’s Hospital is in need of brand new, twin size warm blankets for their patients. Please help us make their time in the hospital comfy and cozy by helping us collect these. You can drop off (or mail) NEW blankets to Gian Manhas at 4899 Forest Avenue SE, Mercer Island, WA 98040 anytime between now and December 13th. The Island Friends Guild will hand deliver these blankets directly to the Volunteer office. Thank you for keeping the kids at Seattle Children’s Hospital cozy this winter season! ❄️🥰
