Who We Are:

The Seattle Green Lake Triathlon Group (SGLTG) is a non-profit organization in the Seattle area offering group events to local triathletes and multi-sport enthusiasts. The goal of SGLTG is to offer free group training and support to triathletes of all levels and abilities, whether you’re new to the sport or a seasoned veteran. What We Do:

Free group open water swims, cycling and runn

ing are offered throughout the week. We compete together at events throughout the year, including sprint, Olympic, half and full IRONMAN distances. SGLTG members help each other, train together and share tips and information about the ins and outs of triathlons.

Happy New Year everyone! We ended the year with 219 paid members, up from 2023 but still off our 2018-2019 peak. We've already had one person make a New Year's resolution and join us this morning, and hopefully we'll be surpassing our pre-pandemic highs again soon.

Becoming a paid member provides you with a number of discounts to local races, triathlon-related gear, and local businesses, including our popular social venue TeKu Tavern + Cafe. It also provides insurance for you during official events and supports the group as a whole. It's $25/year and if you're racing more than a few events, you may find it saves you money overall.

Hi , Today, we hosted a free Running Form Clinic exclusively for our paid members, led by the incredible coach Lance Carter at Super Jock 'N Jill in Greenlake. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

The event was a huge success, with our triathletes of all levels benefiting from Lance's expert form correction tips and insights. Whether a seasoned runner or just starting their journeys, everyone left with valuable takeaways to improve their performance.

A huge thank you to Lance for his continued partnership and generosity in sharing his knowledge and time with us! 🙌 We can't wait to do this again soon!

Outdoor training season is off to a roaring start! In the last 2 weeks we've hosted our Triathlon 101 clinic, our annual membership meeting, and yes - our first group runs, rides, and open water swims!

Members of Seattle Green Lake Triathlon Group,

As the Seattle Green Lake Triathlon Group is celebrating its 10th year anniversary this month, we have some very exciting news to share!

As of today, we are officially launching the Seattle Triathlon Group (STG) as the new home for triathletes in the region. We believe this change reflects the vibrant diversity of our membership spanning the entire Greater Seattle Region, the desire to be more inclusive, and the goal of having a stronger brand with more recognition. While this is a major change, since the STG is a new nonprofit entity and the Seattle Green Lake Triathlon Group will be dissolved, our unwavering community spirit, culture, and camaraderie will remain unchanged. If you’re a current member of SGLTG, anticipate voting on the articles of dissolution in the next few months.
