encouraging education for everyone Academic Advancements is a student-led 501(c)(3) certified NGO based in the Peddie School in New Jersey.

We are dedicated to supporting the education of underprivileged students, through tutoring and partnerships that also help further education in underprivileged populations throughout the world. Locally, we provide an affordable and stress-free tutoring service offering courses in all subjects including STEM, Arts, and test prep where all proceeds are reinvested back into our efforts! Globally, we

improve the education of the underprivileged by offering free tutoring lessons for underprivileged children, funding their educational costs, and providing educational technology with our partnering organizations in India and Taiwan. We’ve assisted 2500+ students by tutoring and supporting programs through our 10+ partners, and have donated over $5000 in aid to various education programs! We are thrilled to announce our new collaboration with Building Bridges, a nonprofit organization based in Georgia that specializes in teaching English to kids in China and Korea! 🌍✏️ In order to improve both group and individual instruction, AAT and Building Bridges will collaborate to provide elementary and middle school kids with free weekly English classes. We will share our tutors and resources.

The goal of this partnership is to create close connections and assist students in learning language skills that will be vital to them in the future.

We can't wait to collaborate with Building Bridges to leave an unforgettable impression!

Reading opens a world of knowledge, ideas, and inspiration that can shape our minds and perspectives. It empowers us to dream beyond boundaries, so we can become leaders. As we celebrate the magic of books, let us recognize the countless educational barriers that children face and the pressing need to ensure equitable access to reading materials.

Thank you Shine and Inspire, Inc. for allowing us to be a part of your Summer Children's Event for our book drive! It was a delightful experience, and the dedication and warmth displayed by the Shine and Inspire staff were truly inspiring. It was also lovely to volunteer with the other businesses at the event that share the same commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of underprivileged children.

🌟 AAT's Book Drive with Shine and Inspire! 🌟

Savir Singh '24 acquired a partnership with Shine and Inspire to host a heartwarming for students to get ready for the upcoming school year.

Savir and Angad Singh '24 volunteered on July 29 and donated over 300 books. They helped 75 children in our local community, supporting their one book at a time.

Thanks to your incredible support, more books are still left for our next event with Shine and Inspire, and we can't wait.

"It takes a village" is so true! Yesterday was Shine and Inspire's Summer Children's Event, and we couldn't do it without all the people who volunteered their time and/or services. Children from disadvantaged families were our guests at Nottingham Ballroom for a day of fun and went home with a backpack full of school supplies, sneakers, clothing, pajamas and a blanket to start the school year off right. Each family received a backpack full of hygiene, food kits and other items. We can't thank everyone enough - show these people, businesses and nonprofits your love!"
Kristy and Linda from the Basement Salon gave the children free haircuts and nail art.
Antonia from K's Event Decorations & Rentals donated colorful balloon centerpieces that the children just loved!
Lala and Mimi's Pajama Party donated a pair of pajamas for each child (such amazing young ladies!)
Project Linus donated handmade blankets (we just love their name!)
Academic Advancements Tutoring gave out free books and shared how they are helping break down barriers to education (two amazing young men we love seeing young people giving back to the community!)
First Presbyterian Church Hamilton Square - we can't say enough about the members of this church! They donated school supplies and then offered their church so we could assemble the backpacks. Not only did they have volunteers help with the backpacks but also manning craft tables at the event!
Last but never least, Doe'rain Deane Photography who took complementary family portraits (just gorgeous) and volunteers her services at all our Shine and Inspire major events. Doe'rain and her son have become part of the Shine and Inspire family.

Throughout the summer of 2022, AAT organized a book drive through the Hightstown Library to donate books to Homefront, an organization that supports families in poverty in New Jersey. We collected over a hundred books last year that are now being donated to Homefront. We are so excited to support this organization and to continue our work this summer.
