Crime Watch 1100 - Evening Star Neighborhood Watch Team

Crime Watch 1100 - Evening Star Neighborhood Watch Team [email protected] A neighborhood watch is an organized group of citizens devoted to crime and vandalism prevention within a neighborhood.

Neighborhood watches are not vigilante organizations. When suspecting criminal activities, members are encouraged to contact authorities and not to intervene. Our nation is built on the strength of our citizens. Every day, we encounter situations calling upon us to be the eyes and ears of law enforcement. Not only does neighborhood watch allow citizens to help in the fight against crime, it is als

o an opportunity for communities to bond through service. The Neighborhood Watch Program draws upon the compassion of average citizens, asking them to lend their neighbors a hand. The success of the program has established Neighborhood Watch as the nation’s premier crime prevention and community mobilization program. Visible signs of the program are seen throughout America on street signs, window decals, community block parties and service projects. Neighborhood Watch empowers citizens to become active in community efforts through participation in the Neighborhood Watch groups. The goal of this site is to provide information, technical support and resources to local law enforcement agencies and citizens.

It's always a good thing to be a GOOD NEIGHBOR. Follow these tips and we'll get along just fine.

Looks like we have some new neighbors on the block. Guess it's time to have a blocking meeting to get to know everyone. Also, I see several houses with For Sale signs. Let's hope we are getting nice, respectful families. Stay tuned for our meeting announcement soon.

We have a water hot line for people to report watering outside of the allowed days & times, the number is:

388-SAVE

It is not a phone queue, no pressing of buttons required, it’s a direct voicemail box where people can leave a little specific info such as Address, Date and Time of observed watering.

Thanks so much,

We've been thinking of having a Best Decorated house for the holidays. Would the neighborhood like to participate? There will be a prize too if we can get some participation.

From the NW Coordinator: Hello,
One of our Neighborhood Watch groups is having a problem with speeding in their neighborhood and they are seeking suggestions on how to get people to slow down. If you have dealt with this same problem, please send me any advice that you have and I will share it with the group. Thanks!

It's a new year. Looks like we might be seeing a couple of the college room for rent houses being vacated for families. Fingers crossed.
