Summer is creeping in, and it was a beautiful day for a ride. It was also awesome to be downtown! One of our steering committee members (Rhonda) was hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony for our amazing downtown murals, and all the work that has been done recently downtown.

Yay! Our work was featured this week in the _Rural Health Information Hub_ newsletter!

The health benefits associated with cycling are vast. But in some rural areas, potential cyclists can be discouraged by a lack of bike-friendly infrastructure or the absence of a local cycling community.

Data from 11,587 cities show that, rain or shine, some places are just better for bikes and pedestrians

What a fun ride! It looks like we had just about 100 riders! We want to say a HUGE thank you to all of the volunteers who helped to make this night so amazing! A special shout out to Five. Ten. Bistro for heating our apple cider and the Merced Police Department for helping to keep us all safe! If you took photos at the event we'd love it if you shared them here in the comments!

Please remember -
Everyone must sign a liability waiver. Registration begins at 5pm. Minors must have a guardian present to sign for them.
Minors under age 16 must have a guardian accompany them on the ride.
Minors must wear helmets, we encourage everyone to do so!
The law requires you to have some form of headlight.
