Celebrating Pomeranian heritage, held the last Sunday in June in Mequon, WI, a free cultural event with entertainment, food and drink No admission charge.

"Pomeranian Day" is an ethnic celebration of Pomeranian (northern German) culture. It includes the Pommersche Tanzdeel ethnic dancers and singers, the Alte Kameraden brass band, cultural exhibits, genealogy research, and ethnic foods and drinks. The location is in a park with a playground and handicapped accessible restrooms and parking.

Today at German Fest Milwaukee a visitor checked the list of available foods and discovered that there was no rollbraten again. Someone else leaned over and said, “They have it at Pommerntag every year “ They’re right!

OK, lovers of North German culture here’s the deal: yes Pommerntag won’t be back for another 50 weeks. Yes the Pomeranian tour is over until probably 2028. However, this page only needs six more followers to reach 1000! Can you help us out?

Less than 24 hours to go to Pommerntag 49. Enjoy all those strawberries at that other nearby festival, but then stop by Mequon Rotary Park for knackwurst, brats, rollbraten, red cabbage, German potato salad, herring, and cherry soup!
Enjoy the Alte Kameraden, Pommersche Tanzdeel, and Peggy Mueller while enjoying a Fox Town beer or Specher Root Beer float.
Free admission! 12-5:30.

The 49th Pommerntag is just four days away! It's VERY unlikely you can find all afternoon entertainment, Fox Town Beer, Root Beer Floats, Genealogy, Cherry Soup, Black Forest Cherry Torte AND Indoor Restrooms anywhere else in southeast Wisconsin this Sunday!

Pomerania Day 11: our Pomeranian Heritage Tour comes to a close with a tour of beautiful Gdansk. Much of it was destroyed during WWII, but mostly rebuilt. Enjoy the photos, and thanks for traveling along!

Pomerania Day 10: the drive to Danzig (Gdańsk), stopping to tour Swotowo’s Pomeranian Village and enjoy lunch along the way.
This amazing village is similar to the concept of Williamsburg in that people live in some of the homes while others are part of the museum. The dozen buildings document the Pomeranian way of life from early times through the expulsion after WWII, then developing a new way of life once the Iron Curtain came down. It includes sheep, chickens, Pomeranian geese and at least one horse.
We enjoyed nettle soup and kielbasa for lunch at the restaurant on the grounds.
Then onto Gdansk!
