The last three days I have had the honor again of hosting 13 of our beloved Reorient community members at or 2025 Fall Reorient Gathering in St. Paul MN. It’s hard to describe the love, laughter, growth, and wisdom that is shared. I am better for knowing, loving, and being loved by these wonderful people. This weekend we focused on embracing the. “And…” in our life and world. We explored together the difficulty of moving beyond labels, tribal identities, and embracing the challenging mystery of unconditional love as a way of being in our daily lives.

This week I had the privilege of hosting a sacred experience of contemplation and co-creation in beautiful Ravello Italy. We explored the implications of our true nature as human beings created in the image of a Good Creator. As we created meals, community, new friendships, and space to listen and rest in Divine Love, a deep sense that we are each here with the sacred gift to participate in the ongoing creation of the world was alive to us. I am truly honored to be on this sacred journey with our Reorient community as we daily reorient our lives to the sacredness of life.

Advent Longing

“Come Immanuel” is a cry of longing.
Longing to be whole.
Longing to be healed.
Longing to be free.

This longing is a sacred gift that invites the joy of discovery
and the tension of curiosity.

This longing is the evidence that there is
more to come in us and in the world.

This longing reveals that we know we must return
and that this returning is good.

But the Way is often slow.
And the path forward is shown only a few feet at a time.

“Come Immanuel” brings grounding in my restlessness. A restlessness that perpetually displaces patient waiting with the shiny “new thing” that promises deeper joy, but only leads to more restlessness.

“Come Immanuel” is an invitation to open myself to the process of transformation and to locate myself in the eternal “not yet”
while finding rest in the flux.

“Come Immanuel” knows that the Christ Reality is here AND not here. Sensing there is more beneath the surface,
we patiently long for the fruit of patience and peace
as it participates in the necessary process of growth.

“Come Immanuel” finds the Christ birthing new things in the tender manger of a humble heart. Wondering what it will be when it has matured yet choosing to simply be present at this stage of life.

“Come Immanuel” is knowing that Hope is alive and generative. Sensing that Christ has not returned fully through us but we are participating in this return every moment we say “Yes” to Goodness and Love.
