Our third visiting judge at the Regatta Classic events is none other than Jorge Nallem, a very accomplished breeder and distinguished F.C.I. judge from Uruguay. You will find that Jorge is a world class individual who will make you feel at ease in the show ring. I am proud he is joining us this year. His resumé is below.

Jorge Nallem – Uruguay
FCI International All-Breed Judge

International breeder and judge with more than 35 years of experience. He has produced World Champions and over 200 All-Breed Best in Show winners. Currently chairs the FCI Standards Commission (1999-2026) and the Judges’ Council of the Uruguayan Kennel Club.

Had bred Standard Schnauzer, Wire & Smooth Fox Terrier, Whippet, Beagle, Boxer, Smooth-Haired Dachshund, Greyhound, and Uruguayan Cimarron.

• Wire Fox Terrier: BIS Montgomery County (FTC of America), Award of Merit at Westminster KC, World Champion & BOB Porto 2001, BIS Americas & Caribe.
• Smooth Fox Terrier: Terrier Group winner, World Dog Show Argentina 2005.
• Standard Schnauzer: 4 World titles, 60+ BIS; Group win & Group 2 Reserve, WDS Mexico 1999.
• Standard Smooth-Coat Dachshund: National Dachshund BIS, Brazil 2012.

Judging Career
• Licensed judge since 1987 · FCI All-Breed (All-Rounder) since 1996.
• Specialties include Dachshund, Old English Sheepdog, Boxer, Dobermann, Schnauzers, Fox Terriers, Basset Hound, Irish Setter, Poodle, Shih Tzu, and Afghan Hound World Congress 2024.
• Has judged in 40+ countries across the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Oceania, such as:
o World Dog Shows: Portugal, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Sweden, Finland, Hungary, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Croatia.
o FCI Americas & Caribbean Section: Brazil, Costa Rica, Colombia, Argentina, Mexico, Ecuador, Guatemala.
o FCI European Section: Finland, Switzerland, Hungary, France.
o Australian Royal Shows: Adelaide, Perth, Hobart, Sydney.
• Frequent speaker at international judges’ seminars.

Our second visiting judge at the Regatta Classic 2026 cluster is Ekarat Sangkunakup from Thailand. A world-renowned breeder of Chow Chows, Ekarat is a familiar figure in American canine events as well as being well respected in world canine events. He shall be offering a BIS trophy pictured below. Below is his resumé.

The Regatta Classic, bringing you the best from around the world and domestically.

Ekarat Sangkunakup of Thailand, began his involvement with American show dogs in 1982.

While best known in the United States for his top winning Chow Chows , Shih Tzu and Dobermans, he has also had top winning Pomeranians, English Pointers, Smooth Fox Terriers, American Cockers, and Golden Retrievers.

Proudly exhibiting his dogs under the United prefix, obtaining numerous Championships across the world.

United Chow Chows were the first Thai bred dogs shown competitively in the US, and remain the premier representative of Thailand for their excellent quality, in America, and abroad.

Chow Chows bred or owned by Mr. Sangkunakup have amassed over 550 All-Breed Best in Shows, over 800 All-Breed Best Baby in Shows worldwide. In addition, winners of over 200 Best in Shows with other breeds owned and shown over the last twenty years.

United Kennels has had more than twenty different dogs hold the #1 position both in the US and Thailand. United Chows have ranked #1 Chow Chow in the breed more than twenty times in Thailand, and have been extremely successful in the United States and Asia, having become the #1 Chow in various countries.

Mr Sangkunakup is recognized throughout the world for his in-depth knowledge of canine structure and breed type.

At the core of his philosophy as a breeder/judge, is the preservation of the breed standards and type, which ultimately depends upon the collaboration and education of dog breeders worldwide. Breeding and judging according to the standard is of the utmost importance to maintain the integrity of the breeds. Promoting continuous education for the purpose of the Preservation Breeder is very important.

He has judged Nationals in many countries, including the United States , Europe , Australia and Canada. Also, he is the first Thai Judge to have judged at the World Dog Show, along with the great honor of judging at Westminster Kennel Club in 2026.

Licensed All Breed Judge

Award Challenge Certificates and CACIBS at CC/CACIB at all breed Champion Show levels by The Kennel Club Association of Thailand and FCI International Dog Shows, everywhere dogs are exhibited.

As an all-breed judge, with assignments around the world including in the U.S.A, Canada, South America, Russia, Scandinavian, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Asia as well as his native Thailand.

He actively pursues his judging career domestically and abroad, while continuing to campaign his outstanding Thai bred dogs in Thailand and the United States.

An introduction to our first visiting judge from Malaysia is Mr. Gopi Krishnan. Mr. Krishnan is one of the most celebrated F.C.I. judges known throughout the world. I have had the chance to have judged with him internationally and I regard his expertise immensely.
