ANNOUNCEMENT:
Gopi Krishnan, F.C.I. judge and world class lecturer, has agreed to give a seminar after the Regatta Classic Event on Monday, July 13, 2026, 7 pm at the Hampton Inn, Mentor, Ohio. The topic will be The Future of AKC Dog World: What Exhibitors and Breeders Can Do.

The seminar will focus upon the following:

The AKC community faces many of the same challenges seen through the pedigree dog world: declining entries in some areas, fewer active breeders, rising costs, an ageing participant base, and increasing public scrutiny of purebred dogs.

While judges, kennel clubs, and organizers all have important roles to play, the future of the sport ultimately rests with exhibitors and breeders. Every exhibitor influences the atmosphere of a show. Every breeder influences the future of a breed.

The question is not what others can do - it is what we can do.
If interested in attending this important seminar, please contact David Miller at 440-749-3214. The seminar will be hosted by the Grand River Kennel Club and free to the canine public. Reservations are required. Private message me or call. The number of attendees is limited to 40 people. Registration deadline is July 5, 2026. I personally viewed this seminar in Mexico City geared to the FCI shows. It was stellar.
