The t-shirt was designed by Caitlin Guttu an artist, visual storyteller, and environmental enthusiast. Although a Mentor native, she didn’t realize her hometown was a birding hotspot until her love of birding began during field studies in Costa Rica. Since then, she has continued exploring and documenting the natural world both closer to home and around the globe. Through her art, Caitlin hopes to inspire others to notice and appreciate the biodiversity found in their own communities and beyond.

Professionally, Caitlin works as the Lead Scientific Illustrator at Case Western Reserve University. She is excited to contribute this year’s festival t-shirt design and celebrate the incredible birdlife of Northeast Ohio. You can find more of her work at caitlinguttu.com.

We are still looking for a few volunteers for the Headlands Birding Festival!

We need folks to help us sell t-shirts, answer questions about the park at the information booth, check-in participants for programs, etc.
