Hmong Stout Student Organization-HSSO

Hmong Stout Student Organization-HSSO Hmong Stout Student Organization is a club where we build social and cultural bridges. Thank you all for being a great supporter.

Hmong Stout Student Organization (HSSO) is a multicultural student organization that is recognized on the campus of UW-Stout. Established in 1988 to provide social, cultural, and academic enrichment to its members and to bridge with other student organizations, as well as the surrounding community. We are involved in different activities within our organization as well as collaborating with other

multicultural organizations on campus to support and encourage the growth of diversity on campus. Membership is open to all graduate and undergraduate students who are attending UW-Stout who would like to learn more about our culture and organization. Our main goal is to provide an opportunity for interested individuals on campus and in the community to learn more about the Hmong culture. Moreover, we provide assistance to Hmong students in their social and educational adjustment to UW-Stout and the community. As to also help develop everyone as leaders, we encourage everyone to use HSSO as a safe space to open up to and discuss any issues. We have great Advisers who can pinpoint directions and E-board members who are more than welcome to sit down and talk. This year's (2020-21) theme is “Our dream to success" (Peb txoj kev npau suav rau kev vam meej ) and together HSSO will continue to build trust, work together, and commit ourselves to one another.

Volleyball tournament team bracket

12/05/2025

We would like to sincerely apologize for the mistakes that occurred with the volleyball brackets. This is our first year organizing the brackets without a designated Volleyball Coordinator, and we are still learning and improving our process. We truly appreciate your patience as we work through these challenges.
To ensure fairness and accuracy, we have redrawn all teams, and the videos posted show our committee redrawing and numbering each team for round robin play. After the round robin games are completed, the top four teams from each court will move on to single eliminations.
For all matches, games will go to 21 points, and if the first two games are split, a third deciding game will go to 17 points.
We are committed to making this tournament run as smoothly as possible, and we apologize for any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused. Thank you for your understanding, cooperation, and continued support.

We’re going LIVE on 12/4/2024 at 5 PM to draw the brackets! Don’t miss who’s playing who!
