Fishing Has No Boundaries - Chippewa Valley Chapter

Fishing Has No Boundaries - Chippewa Valley Chapter The Chippewa Valley Chapter is one of 18 chapters in 9 states. FHNB is a 501 ( C ) 3 non-profit National Volunteer Organization. Fishing Has No Boundaries®Inc.

The Chippewa Valley Chapter is now hosting its event on Lake Wissota, where the chapter first started in 1999. We'll be having our event on the second Saturday of September for years to come. This is an event that gives individuals with disabilities the ability to go out for a day of fishing. We have 20-25 registered anglers every year. Local guides & anglers offer up their expertise on the great

fishing spots on the lake. The Chippewa Valley Chapter provides adapted fishing equipment, demonstrates ways all individuals can enjoy fishing, and empowers people with a disability to pursue a hobby that may not otherwise be accessible. We have two pontoons with wide gates for wheelchair access in addition to volunteers and their pontoons and boats from the area. (FHNB) is an educational, non-profit, volunteer organization dedicated to opening up the great outdoors to individuals with disabilities through the world of fishing. Annual 1 and 2 day events are now held by 18 chapters in 9 states. Organization History
In 1986, a local Hayward fishing guide, Bobby Cammack, founded Fishing Has No Boundaries®, Inc. as the result of a broken leg. Bobby wanted to still be able to continue to fish, (a special passion of his) and enjoy the beautiful area lakes, but with a simple cast on his leg, fishing was not as easy anymore. With years of research, planning, and perseverance, the first initial event was held in 1988 on the Chippewa Flowage in Hayward, WI for all persons with disabilities regardless of age, race, gender, and especially severity of disability. This new found opportunity gathered 75 people from seven different states.
