The community-based services team was very busy last month with their clients.
Activities included:
✨Building a LEGO Technic set
✨A lot of watercolor painting. This has proven to be a very soothing activity!
✨And who can say no to a visit with an adorable puppy at the library? Not us! A local family had a litter up for adoption and this CBS client enjoyed all the puppy cuddles.

Youth at Positive Alternatives experienced significant successes in the month of August surrounding work and family!

One youth had a positive visit with family and another began overnight visits for the first time since being placed at PA. Additionally, a youth was discharged to a family member after almost 4 years at PA!

Looking at employment successes in August one youth gained employment which means this group homes youth are now all employed! 3 out of 4 youth at another group home are employed as well. Lastly, a youth at a different one of the PA group homes began working too!

A simple “How are you really doing?” can open the door to a conversation that someone may desperately need.

Su***de prevention starts with connection, compassion, and being willing to listen without judgment. Whether you’re struggling yourself or supporting someone who is, you don’t have to face it alone.
