Judy's workshop was amazing. I t was called the Fractured Four Patch. These are made with scraps. She had us pick and color scheme and we went with that and whites or lights. Check out the fun fabrics that Judy used in this quilt. See the close ups.

Judy gave us a wonderful lecture after lunch. She does amazing things with simple techniques. Using a color wheel to match the colors as she likes. The next day was a workshop.

April 22, 2026 Our speaker will be Sandy DeSalle from Sandy Creek Quilt Shop in Lodi, WI.
She will be doing a lecture and trunk show on her quilting style and how she became a quilt shop owner.
She has recently moved down the road into a larger place. It has great fabrics!! And soon the classroom will be ready to start up classes. Sandy is one of the sweetest people I know. So helpful too with picking out fabric.

Don't tell her I posted this photo of us she will kill me.. 😀🥰

Afterwards there will be a workshop to make a Sewing Machine Caddy with Pockets. We have some openings!

About Elayne West

I've been sewing since I was 7 when my Auntie Chris taught me how to sew halter tops in the summer of '66! That's a long time ago. I've loved sewing ever since.

Over the years I continued to sew clothing as well as quilts and home decor items. After starting at The Sewing Basket I also found a love for machine embroidery and Brother sewing and embroidery machines.

And as "they" say, the rest is history.

I'm thrilled to be here to share in your sewing journey. I couldn't ask for a better team to help me continue growing The Sewing Basket into the best that it can be.
