Suburban Park neighbors- We found an injured young black and white kitty at corner of Sheridan and Hedge at about 10:30pm Thursday night and took it to the Peninsula Humane Society After hours emergency at 12 Airport Blvd in San Mateo. It was pinned between 2 branches of a tree with his sibling near by who got our attention to come help. We carefully removed it from the tree, but its back &/or back legs were seriously injured. 2 more young cats that appeared to be siblings appeared as we were leaving to take it. They may be strays since all 4 were the same age, but they were super sweet and friendly. The photo of the one in my arms was this injured kitty. Happy to give more details if anyone knows them. 😔

It’s happening again tomorrow 11/7 - it’s the Suburban Park Annual Chili 🌶 Cookoff! At 216 and 220 Hedge Road. Set-up 1-1:30, tasting starts at 2PM and Judging will start at 2:30PM. Bring your best Chili receipt in a crockpot to keep it warm. Tables will be set up and serving spoons, bowls and napkins will be provided. Everyone who attends can taste the entries and vote -resulting in the coveted PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD! An objective panel of Celebrity Judges will judge the other 5 categories. The other categories are: 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place - Hottest Chili 🌶 & the Best Chili Booth Decor! Winners will be announced at 4 PM. Warn us if your Chili 🌶 contains peanuts (we have allergies). Please see the flyers that were placed in your mailbox last week or posted on our street signs last week for all the info. Suburban Park Spring Events- Scavenger Hunt and Easter Bunny Drive-By.

Dear Suburban Park,

As you know we love to celebrate spring and Easter events in Suburban Park! This year the Easter Bunny will drive through our neighborhood from 9-10 am on Saturday, April 3rd. Come out and say hi!

Also, we are pleased to announce our first neighborhood wide scavenger hunt that will take place between now and April 2nd. The Board distributed scavenger hunt flyers with clues to items placed throughout Suburban Park. See how many items you can find and turn in your answer sheet to Kabir and Carmen at 236 Oakhurst Place. They’ll drop off your chocolate bunny before April 4th.

Kids 6 and under must find a minimum of 5 items. Kids 7 and up must find a minimum of 8 items. If you did not receive a flyer please reach out to Deb Martin.
