We had a great time participating in the Moonlight Run & Walk and sharing more about Banyan’s work with the community!

Hosted by the Palo Alto Holiday Fund , the event gave us a chance to connect with others and share more about what we’re working on.

We’re grateful to the Palo Alto Holiday Fund for supporting our work with Heart and Home Collaborative and for having us at the event!

A look back at an evening of collective care.

In honor of Su***de Prevention Month, we joined San Mateo County Pride Center for 90 minutes of sound healing, breathwork, meditation, and journaling, creating space to slow down, rest, and reconnect in community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and shared in this experience. We’re grateful to continue creating spaces that support connection, reflection, and well-being within our community.

September is Su***de Awareness Month, a reminder that the way we show up for one another matters.

We may not always know when someone is struggling. “I’m fine” can feel easier than explaining what’s really going on, especially when someone is afraid of being judged, dismissed, or becoming a burden.

So this month, let’s think about how we can create more safety and provide better care for the people around us.

Ask the second question.

Listen without immediately trying to fix.

Take people seriously when they tell you they’re struggling.

Respond with presence, not pressure.

Make it clear that asking for help is never something to be ashamed of.

We don’t have to have all the answers to be a safe person for someone else.
