74+ walkers 12 teams Stragglyrs played pro bono. St. Raymond Catholic Church hosted. Ecumenical Hunger Program had one of the teams and came out. $22,166 raised and counting. There is still time to donate and post a photo! Thanks to all! It was great fun! Hope to see you next year!

Our walk is only 23 days away! 9 teams and 24 teams have registered! Saint Thomas Aquinas in Palo Alto has put up a lawn sign and a can't-miss poster in the vestibule! Yay, St. Thomas Aquinas!

October 27, 2024 is the date for the 2024 CROP Hunger Walk It will be at St. Raymond's Catholic Church in Menlo Park, from 1-4pm. Watch for the webpage to sign up!

According to Church World Service (CWS), our walk raised $20,823.72, which probably includes employer matches and donations from donor-advised funds and possibly appreciated stock. As you know, Ecumenical Hunger Program (EHP) receives 25% of the total. CWS sent a check to EHP for $4,944.48 in December 2023, when the recorded total was $19,777.92. Since the recorded total is now $20,823.72, the second payment to EHP, because of this increase, will be $261.45.

Donations are still coming in! We're up to $16,805. It's not too late to take a photo of yourself, family and friends walking and posting it on Facebook. Not too late to donate either!

Great walk yesterday! Over 50 people showed up. Our page showed over $13K in online donations; there's more today, and we haven't counted the cash and checks. There is still time to walk in your neighborhood or favorite walking place and post a photo and donate, too. Many thanks for everyone who participated and donated. Thanks for the generosity of St. Raymond's parish that hosted us, complete with donating snacks! and the Stragglyrs, whose lively, fun music lifted our spirits and brought joy. Jason Welle of Church World Service was there to update us on CWS work settling refugees from Afghanistan and Ukraine. , ,

The walk is just 6 days away! Nine teams have registered. They have raised over $9K and counting, for those who must walk for their food and water or who have had to flrre their homes because of war and disasters.
