I *really* want vaccines to work, but I think it's going to be more complicated than people think.

Long ago, I came from Tech where things are mostly deterministic. Biology, on the other hand, is messy.

✅Frequent – at least weekly or more often
✅Fast Turn-around – 15 min or "next morning"
✅Cheap – "less than a latte" cost-of-goods
✅Easy – self-collect w/ AN swab or saliva

The current state of testing, 7 months in, is ~abysmal.

We need COVID-19 testing at ~100x current to fix horrible turnaround time (5+ days) & enable safe Return-to-School/Work and hotspot protection.

Many people thought:
covid testing has to cost $100+ only test if symptomatic it's complicated; can only be done in CLIA labs tests need ~perfect sensitivity swabs need to poke your brain to work we're testing too much
