Good morning! God makes a way when there is no way. He is still in business of performing miracles, changing lives, and healing the sick and broken hearted. He sent Jesus for us. Even when you don’t understand what He is doing, keep trusting Him and His plan.

10/06/2026

Good morning! Today we will continue our reading in Ephesians chapter two. Enjoy.

Bible Verse – Ephesians 2:11-13 NLT

“11 Don’t forget that you Gentiles used to be outsiders. You were called “uncircumcised heathens” by the Jews, who were proud of their circumcision, even though it affected only their bodies and not their hearts. 12 In those days you were living apart from Christ. You were excluded from citizenship among the people of Israel, and you did not know the covenant promises God had made to them. You lived in this world without God and without hope. 13 But now you have been united with Christ Jesus. Once you were far away from God, but now you have been brought near to him through the blood of Christ.”

Reflection

These verses are significant to anyone who was not Jewish, but became Christians. The significance is that Jesus made a way for more than the Jewish people to be saved and reconciled back to God. Those who were considered Gentiles were uncircumcised, excluded/alienated, left out from participating in God’s covenant, without hope for their future, and without God.

But praise God for Jesus Christ, where those who were far away from God and the Jews, were/are now brought near because of the blood of Jesus Christ. Sin separates us from God, and it is only the atonement of Jesus Christ that removes that sin barrier. By God’s grace and mercy, peace was established between the Jewish and the Gentiles believers – all believers, and the peace of God and the people who believe in Him.

Prayer

Father God, thank you for sending Jesus Christ to save us and reconcile us back to you. Lord, forgive us of our sins against you and others (knowingly and unknowingly). Lord, soften our hearts and give us an obedient spirit that chases after you.

Be with us today. Watch over us and protect us against the plots of the evil one. Lord, cover us, heal us, and transform us to be more like Christ every day.

Lord, help those in need mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually, and financially. Lord, stabilize the thinking of those experiencing stress, anger, anxiety – give them wisdom, discernment, and clarity. Lord, stabilize funds for those who are without, in need, and with limited resources to have each need met and have overflow.

Lord, help us to keep You first in our lives. In Jesus’ name, amen.🙏

Good morning! This is the first Monday in October and God is still good. May His peace, promises, and love surround you and your family today. Have a blessed day.

10/05/2026

Good morning! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Today we will continue our reading in Ephesians chapter two. As a brief recap and overview, chapter two explained that people were spiritually dead and deserved only God’s wrath, but God in His marvelous grace, provided all people (and still does today) salvation through faith/belief in Christ Jesus. We are His masterpiece whom He performs good work in and through. Enjoy today’s verses.

Bible Verse- Ephesians 2:8-10 NLT

“8 God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. 9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. 10 For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”

Reflection

In our reading last week we were reminded that salvation is a gift from God. Salvation cannot be bought and it is not given based on merit. It’s nothing that we can do on our own, it is the gift of God.

It is also important to note Faith is not “work”, but it is the only way one accepts God’s free salvation. To go further the grace is the basis and faith (belief) is the means – Verse 8, “God saved you by his grace when you believed.”

Salvation is God’s work of art, truly a masterpiece. As believers, we are God’s workmanship – He created us, and we are in Christ Jesus. Let us walk out the good work that has been prepared for us, allowing God to use us as we walk by faith.

Prayer

Father God thank you for a new week. Thank you for the reminder that we are saved by grace. Lord, it will be a honor to be used by you. Lord, continue to work in and through us to shape us into the godly Christians/Christ followers that you desire for us to be. Use us today to do good work in and through us. Let your light shine through us as we go to work, school, or anywhere else. Help us to feel your presence and stay attuned to Your Holy Spirit. Give us an obedient heart to act on Your truth as we live out Your word in our homes, with our families, and &”in every season of our lives. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

God Is Rich In Mercy

Good morning! Today we begin our reading in Ephesians chapter 2. As a brief recap, in chapter one, Paul shared God’s eternal plan which resulted in all believers on earth and in heaven being brought together under Christ. Now in chapters two and three we will read how the plan was executed and how God makes sinners saints. Join me as we continue our reading in Ephesians.

Bible Verse – Ephesians 2:1-7 NLT

“Once you were dead because of your disobedience and your many sins. 2 You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world.[a] He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. 3 All of us used to live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature. By our very nature we were subject to God’s anger, just like everyone else.

4 But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, 5 that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) 6 For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. 7 So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of his grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus.”

Reflection

This morning’s humble reminder, “By our very nature we were subject to God’s anger, just like everyone else.”

Sisters and brothers, that humble reminder sets the stage for gratitude. In us we could never be clean enough, sinless enough, kind enough to save ourselves. We deserved God’s wrath, but He gave us grace and mercy. It is only by God’s grace and mercy that we believers who are in Christ Jesus have been saved.

Summing this up, God made believers alive, raised them up, and seated them with Christ. Our experience in the world and our condition was clear in verse one – we were dead in our transgressions and sin. In verses 4-5, we were made alive – with Christ. The riches of His grace are shown to us in His kindness to us in Christ Jesus. His grace saved us.

Prayer

Father God, we thank you for your amazing mercy and grace. Lord, forgive us for the sins we have committed (knowingly or unknowingly). Lord, help us to live out our lives in alignment with Your word. Lord, continue to humble our hearts to help those in need and those who need to know you. Lord, align our thoughts and our actions to Yours. Help us to see things as you see them. Help us to encourage others in the faith. Help us to use the spiritual gift you have given us to point others to you.

Lord, we thank you for this new month. We thank you for all the things you have ahead for us. Lord, be with us as we finish up this day and prepare for the weekend. Lord, your word says wherever we go you are there. Lord, be with us in our homes and help us to feel your presence and peace. Lord, be our protection and strength. Lord, be with those who will be leaving their homes and are going out into the world for school, work, medical appointments, etc. Lord, protect their coming and going.

Lord, we pray for each woman who joined us for Bible study and we leave their prayer requests with you. Lord, continue to stretch us and grow us in your word.

In Jesus name, we pray, amen!

Thanksgiving and Prayer

Good morning! Today concludes our reading in Ephesians chapter one. May the verses we read sum up our reading for this week and bless you.

Bible Verse – Ephesians 1:15-23 NLT

“15 For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people, 16 I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. 17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit[f] of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. 18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength 20 he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, 21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. 22 And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.”

Reflection

Sisters and brothers those same words in verses 17-19 (read it again):

“17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit[f] of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. 18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe.”

I pray for you today. In Jesus name, we pray, amen!
